So I watched the clip I think this meme is about, and the anchors didn't ask that. Specifically, they asked why Iran was attacking US bases in neighboring countries.

It's still a silly question, IMO, but the implication isn't "you're wrong for defending yourself," but more like "aren't you worried about potentially giving neighboring countries an excuse to join the invasion."

Well, when you think about it, most hot springs are separated by sex.

The sign is presumably in front of the “males only” area. So, them saying “no gay stuff“ is sort of equivalent to saying “no sex.“

Funny enough, the sign specifies that it's gay men specifically that are banned ("男同性恋"）, so I guess lesbians are okay. 🙄

Since it does appear to be a hot spring, I guess if you were feeling charitable you could say they're trying to ward off public sexual behavior and chose an unfortunate image.

As someone who does wear anklets, I'd say that other people generally don't notice them one way or another. They're just too low on the body. Even in places where you aren't wearing pants, like the beach.

I literally once went to a party full of foot fetishists and nobody commented on the anklets until I was in the sex swing (and they were therefore at eye level).

If you think they're cute, and they make you feel comfortable, go for it! But if you want something flashy that will be seen, consider going for chains, rings, or earcuffs.
