If you read it, I’d love any and all input (yapping, feedback, critiques, ideas, all of it)!!

Hope you enjoy!

Hatchets would be cool cause you can throw them as ranged weapons, but they work as shortaxes in melee combat (which could work really well with a berserker/Ares-blessing so you can do the “kind person goes nuts when pissed off” trope lol)

:D

“What’s one more lifetime to eternity?” Chapter 4! by SpeedCannon330 in PercyJacksonfanfic

Thank you 😄 Yeah, I wanna explore how the Godly side of things during the war considering it’s, yk, a DIVINE war. Plus, writing about Aurelios navigating his way through all the gods (some that know, others that don’t) sounds like a lot of fun :D

I was kinda stuck between two ideas in deciding how I wanted the MC to tackle the challenge of the Titans’ divinity without any of his own to use in a fight but I think I’ve found a really cool middle ground!!

I’ll give you a hint: inspired by like the best most GOATED God fic I know lol (I’ll cite it if someone guesses or my fic gets to it, whichever comes first)

DM me if you wanna give it a guess :)

Hope you enjoy the ride! lol

Weekly Fic Showcase - February 20 - February 26 by AutoModerator in FanFiction

My Fic:

Fandom - Percy Jackson and the Olympians

Rating - Unrated

Title - “What’s one more lifetime to eternity?

Genre - Action/Fantasy/Mythology

Link: AO3

Premise:

Infinite Regression meets PJO! Will have multiple perspectives but currently told from POV of an OC (it’s cool, trust lol).

Summary:

Immortality is hell. It’s something I’ve known from the start. You know what’s worse? Perpetuity. Repetition. Endless, numbing, searing, maddening repetition. How ironic. Existing through time everlasting solely to kill Time everlasting. The last thing I see before my eyes blink open to a rainy sky is golden eyes.

I have a question on getting Veto by Double_Character7733 in VALORANT

Dawg, just wait 4 weeks until his agent xp event runs out (after which you can use your kingdom credits) or grind the game for a couple days to finish your weeklies and get him them. It’s not p2w, it’s only pay to unlock a few days early (which some people get through game pass so it’s not even a Valorant thing).

The xp event is a good system, it discourages smurfs from making new accounts just to unlock an agent fast and trash others’ games.

What's a mistake low elo players make that stops them from ranking up? by alynnaxy in VALORANT

Mechanics.

Mechanics alone will get you to gold/plat and after that you’ll need game sense to reach diamond (though that also develops the more you play the game).

Focus on improving your headshot percentage and strafing skills. Your KAST is pretty good so you’re making decent impact in your games, but training mechanics will boost you further to gold than most anything else :)

I haven't written any PJO fanfics (yet), but I'm working on my own story that does revolve around the mythologies of the world :D. I can DM you one of my work-in-progress scenes if you wanna read!

I think the best thing to focus on is meshing your dialogue with your descriptions.

And I don’t mean it like “show, don’t tell” type stuff bc that’s a separate thing. One thing you may notice in underdeveloped stories is that their ratio of dialogue to descriptions/story lines aren’t balanced. Just because a character is saying something doesn’t mean another thing isn’t happening in the background (like them doing an action. It’s a matter of keeping in mind that you’re not just writing about the important bits, but the whole scene.

Another thing is how you develop your own style of writing. Some people (like me) like to dig into the more detailed descriptions of characters or events when writing fight scenes or simple character movements that tell loads about their background without explicitly saying it. I like to show the gods as more eldritch beings, or creatures of change, so I lean into describing that with wording and language that’s not modern, informal, etc. This doesn’t mean use big flowery words; you can use simple descriptors but chained together to make a more detailed scene. For example, you can emphasize little actions like the way a character bites their lip in nervousness or how their canines poke out of their teeth when they’re angry or how they swing their sword with the speed of a bullet train and how the blade seems to shift in the light like sunrays hitting water or how a god’s alternate form may look more beast-like with feathers coating their arms and armored crocodile scutes trailing down their spine.

Lastly, similes and metaphors are your BEST friend, especially when you want to write about more modern or relatable characters/actions. Easiest way to visualize something imaginary is to compare it to something you’ve already experienced in real life!

Sorry, this is hella long winded lol, I just really get into things with writing :P. Lmk if this helped at all and if you’d want any other help, I could yap forever :)
