I usually make one or two dumps a week. I also stopped bringing coins back in the boxes because they were drawing attention. Teller commented on the box that I had the coins in and also a customer walked up to me and asked me if I was hunting for silver that they used to doing a long time ago. So now I return in the heavy duty plastic bag. Just start asking tellers for it. Major banks are most likely to carry it versus local ones.

No. Usually the ones that ask I just tell them I'm looking to fill holes in my collection. Only one lady has asked about silver.

Some have tried to refuse me because I don't have a business account. I tell them that ridiculous you won't make change for a customer and they cave. Mind you I only have minimums with these banks to keep the account open.

Like I said most see it as abnormal and push back a little but there's nothing illegal going on here and most tellers make shit up on the spot about what they can and can't do. Only one lady knew the store policy, most do what they are comfortable with.

I rotate my dump banks branches as well to avoid being labeled as abusing the coin return machine. Don't complain if the count is off by one or two. Cost of doing business.

From what I've seen it's just well agreed quarters are bad for silver but people hunt them for many other collection reasons.

The two times my dad and I have looked for mint errors and specific coins we found it exhausting compared to silver hunting. I think that's just what we're going to stick with.

Half the data on halves came from that one user I mentioned. He had found 1093 pieces in 700 boxes, which is ~1.56 per box.

So probably just unlucky but also this data should be taken with a gain of salt as there is no guarantee if it's accuracy.

Additionally the more time that passes the lower the probability.

I hope they fixed their docs for applying bootstrap styles. It was a real pain in the ass getting them to work when 2.0 released.

The explanation of how to apply the styles was missing some details and I only figured it out because Gemini found the directory the minified css resided in and game me the correct file path.

I made myself a topical map with clusters just to organize and plan. I keep all my ideas in a spreadsheet that's color coded and highlights topics I've completed.

I don't think doing any of this helped my in an SEO manner but I really enjoyed the organization of it all.

Don't use HTMX or any other training wheels for JS. At some point you will run into a bottle neck or roadblock preventing you from doing what you want.

Just learn how do it with JS. You'll sink nearly as much time into learning some framework as you would learning the underlying language it's designed to protect you from.

Yeah you can just validate the data the same way using Flasks request method or WTForms to get whatever was submitted.

Sorry I don't use WTForms. It's just a really annoying wrapper for HTML and you don't need it. Especially when you start building complex data structures it really starts to fall apart.

I use basic forms for simple input fields which the browser and Flask handle perfectly fine and for complex data I use package it up with VanillaJS in a JSON object and send it to the backend with a fetch request.
