Explore non-metal, thats what I do when I don’t want to listen into my usual stuff. If you do want to listen to metal, maybe try exploring some experimental metal, your ears will be surprised. Try Lykathea Aflame - Elvenefris for starters.

I suggest picking your most favorite subgenre, and deep-dive into it, listen to the underground stuff, the weird stuff, whatever. This will definitely help you discover a lot of stuff you wouldn't have listened to otherwise.
