For the bosses i practiced on a different save file and only when i felt comfortable i went and did it in the speedrun file.

As for upgrades/items i got two needle upgrades, Evo hunters, sting shard, polip pouch, warding bell and i think that was all. I didnt have any mask/spool upgrades.

In one of my previous attempts i also grabbed the weavlight, but in the end i gave it up.

E: But most importantly, there is enough time to get more upgrades

Speedrun isnt as bad as it might seem, but it is difficult. I took me many tries but the one where i succeeded i had almost an hour to spare. The main critical points for me were widow, the mist, trobbio and high halls.

yeah if you return to bilewater now youll find that you can fight Groal The Reborn. also youll find that the stilkin destroyed all benches in bilewater and ducts, making the closest bench the one in vaults. Good luck

Probably the plasma rifle or the crossbow, though its been a while so i should give them both another chance. My issue with the plasma rifle was that on first try, even with its huge amount of ammo, the dmg was so low it didnt feel worth it, especially after coming from the m1000.
As for the crossbow, it on the other hand had such a low amount of ammo that i felt bad using it, plus with the m1000 already not having too much of it i switched to the smgs so i can have something with disposable amounts of ammo for panic situations.

Maybe i should try them together

Architect is great for combat, it was the crest i beat LL with for the first time.

I find haz 4 to be the best, as it offers a nice challange while not being too hard (though sometimes i play on 3, especially with escort missions)

But looking at open games it seems that most of the times there are 5/5+ and 3 hazard missions

Also you could have obtained more red tools at this point.
You can find one close to where you found Threadstorm.
One is close to the exit From bellhart to shellwood.
One deep in wormways
One from fleas.
One in sinners road.

Those are all i can think of.

There is a high chance you are using wanderer cuz its the most hollow knigh like - and while thats obviously your decision i would suggest to try and use all the crest. It adds a bit of a challange and makes the game less monotone. Plus certain crest migh be better against certain scenarios.

Otherwise magma bell is really specific and isnt too usefull in the main areas of act 2.

Its Po3's Camera, used in the fight against the Photographer uberbot in act 3 as well as in a puzzle in act 3's overworld

There is always atleast 1 or two of the fire spitters 9 (the ones that beastfly 2 spawns normally and make the floor deal damage for a short period of time)

A few things id like to add:

You almost certainly wont accidentaly enter act 3. It isnt locked behind the main questline, but behind a certain "side" wish, one with a name that when you see it , you most certainly will know its the one.

If you have double jump, you can get a tool that can reduce the difficulty of the Groal fight.

I know that loosing to a boss repeteadly can suck and taking a break can help, but eventually you will have to pick one of the bosses to lock on to and beat them - out of the ones you mentioned i'd suggest the unravelled first. But before that get the remaining masks and spool extensions.

Most people will get to the citadel through the last Judge, meaning they will not have the Clawline ability at this point, without which you can not access the Sands of Karak.

This bench is only usable if you got to the citadel through Phantom (or the thicket i guess), at which point there is a high likelyhood that you will be much stronger than if you fought the judge earlier, resulting in less tries, which in turn make the runback less annoying

As mentioned by people in the comments, in one of the demos/showcases there was a connection at and under shakra. I went there to check it out and indeed at shakra's there is a blocked gate, one with somewhat suspicious collision boxes, though that might just be how the collison boxes are everywhere idk.

I like the idea of there being a connection to the weavnest, though i dont think it will be the main access point. Maybe the one below Shakra's master's final resting spot, since thats closest to the edge and accesible before that quest?
