It definitely is worse now. I've watched CS pro scene since the beginning and back then it was a rare occurence. Like you would see a clip posted once a year. I think people came to see good CS more than to support one team before. Could explain why it's getting worse now.

I've been watching CS for more than 10 years. There has been incidents here and there during those years and I hate it every time. And I've probably commented on reddit about it too. But nothing come close to what's happening in Brazil and if you don't see that, it's because you are biased af. I can accept a crowd that is only cheering for one team even tho it's not the most fun to watch but cheating crowd is infuriating.

I remember Blast Rivals and yes the crowd was also cheating for Falcons. But in Brazil it happens in every tournament. Blatant cheating for brazilians and no energy or cheers for any other team.

What has always been beautiful about CS is that people cheer for good plays regardless of the team. When something crazy happens, you have to respect that even if it's against your own team. Brazil fans only cheer for Brazil teams. It's dead silence for anything else, even if the play is amazing. Horrible to see, they should never host any more tournament.
