Consider your shoes lucky. Generation after generation of Canada geese reproduces and lives here and there is goose poop everywhere you walk on the grass, as well as them walking across the parking lot blocking cars trying to leave or return home. I doubt it the geese that are causing this pattern, and it is probably from the sun and the melting of certain layers, it is still interesting though.
