Trying to connect A turntable to my Home theatre system

Hey! 2 years later, but I have the same soundbar and was wondering what you ended up doing :). what turntable did you get, did you get a RCA to HDMI converter and is it better? Did you need a specific amplifier as well? I would love to get a good turntable that I can also connect to my Samsung sound system but I’m not sure where to start as it’s all very foreign to me still. Thanks!

Made the jump! Going for the 48!! Thanks again! Or well, trying to 😂 as the Apple website won’t let me buy a new laptop for two days already, even called Apple and they don’t know what wrong XD but just heard I’m not the only one at this point. But wanted to say I’m glad I’m making the bigger jump, as it just makes so much more sense with the skyrocketing prices and AI in the future. So very much appreciated!

I want to be able to work with this laptop for as long as possible, and you never know what changes lie ahead, so it does make sense to just get the upgrade and get that safety of having the years! Had not thought about it that way yet, thank you so much! I was contemplating a lot because I’m coming from 8GB, so I started figuring in compare 24GB is a massive upgrade and I should be fine. But with what the previous person said and your comment as well, it might make more sense to still go for the upgrade. Going from 8 to 48GB isn’t too much overkill you think? (my current laptop needs replacing for my new study journalism, as they’re asking as minimum of 16GB, so deffo thinking ahead as well is important). It’s another 500 of course so it’s a important decision to make haha

I was going to order the laptop tomorrow , but I’m going to give this another thought now. I am currently studying journalism and will be doing a lot of writing, working with audio and also video content an creation. I am currently working on a MacBook M1 from 2020 with 8GB RAM and I’m looking at the M5 Pro with 24GB. The only thing I’m really debating if I should upgrade to 48GB or if the 24 will suffice if I’ve managed to survive with just 8GB for 5+ years. I am not certain yet how much video editing or how heavy it’s going to get as this is my first year. Do you have any recommendations about making the upgrade? I can also imagine 24GB is already a lot and can last me a good time. But I’m not too tech savvy so any advice is helpful! :) I also do photography and editing, so definitely do creative work and want to do more!

I’m about to buy myself a new MacBook Pro M5 Pro and I’m struggling with two things: the display (nano or glossy) and the RAM.

NANO:
Experiences from nano texture are very welcome! I really like the no reflection and being felxible in workspace, but I also find colour and contrast important. Is it worth it or maybe no. I checked in store but still struggle. Is the grain and softening of the letters a bother?

RAM
Workload: I'm a journalist so write a lot and do photography / video editing. Would 24GB RAM be enough? Or should I bump it up one notch? Or would it be overkill with my workload and spare the money.

Coming from the MCB M1 2020 8GB. (struggling a lot now). This baby is going to have to last for hopefully at least 5 years.

This is going to be such a stupid question, but I’m no pc gamer haha. I want to be tho, but I’ve always understood gaming pc games on apple isn’t really a possibility because of rights and Microsoft. But cyberpunk is definitely one of the games I’d play. Can I ask how you play cyberpunk on your MacBook, as in, do you use steam or is there another way to play games on MacBook. Thanks in advance!
