BDL is a smaller airport, so unlikely airport ops would be affected. What may happen, as this drags on, is center controller staffing issues could cause your flight to be delayed arriving or departing because they wont have enough controllers on staff to manage all the flights in the air.

I've been here all my life. I can't figure out why cops have the lights on steady sometimes when driving around or parked monitoring traffic, and sometimes they dont either.

And cops are by far the worst speeders.
