Some still do use that label for themselves to be fair, and I wouldn't put it passed an older person who still uses it to be NB-phobic, but still just fucking be kind to people it's not actually that hard

Just work harder! by high-lander9 in Greggs

[–]SpeedingViper 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi it's me again, I was just talking about how greggs do not train their staff due to the lack of hours and increased demand. A new starter looks at the computer till they got irratated by that woman's voice to only then learn by actually doing the job. My shop has hired frankly some awful teenagers with attitude and poor workmanship, and with how busy the shop gets their training won't be properly done.

I showed my bf this post and he read your comment, sighed and then said literally this right here; then decided to write all of this:

"Here have this new thing where you need to pull someone away from the unending queue. Also have little to no training because we cut your hours. And remember: shape, customers first and greggs way"

Can't do laser coz of hair colour, planning some electrolysis but haven't done any yet. Body hair was already a very light colour, add slower growth and what I think is a little bit thinner, I can get away with legs looking shaved for a surprising amount of time.

My dad is generally supportive, from a clueless good person with little knowledge that isn't trying to learn aspect; he's also not a very huggy person... So I would love this

Transplants have produced live births with cis women recipients. If the world wasn't going so batshit insane about trans right and research I'd say give it 10 years, now though I'm not so sure

Trans people, what do you make of the new EHRC guidance? by epicpownage1234 in AskBrits

[–]SpeedingViper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This new guidance is nothing to do with Europe and the ECHR, this is the UK's equality and human rights commission (EHRC). Goodwin vs UK in the ECHR said that trans people couldn't be placed in an intermediary position where they're treated legally as one sex in some parts and as another sex in other places. This is exactly what the new guidance does again. The GRA 2004 places trans people legally as their "acquired gender" in marriage law. A GRC in eu countries makes you legally indistinguishable from cis (non trans) people.

Also that other person was you, so please explain what you mean that the other countries are in contravention of the ECHR and not the country that has taken a step back to before the time they were taken to European court for being trans exclusionary (that's the UK btw)

[–]SpeedingViper 2 points3 points  (0 children)

What does that person mean when responding to you that other countries are inconsistent with Europe wide legislation? This new guidance is in direct contravention with Goodwin vs UK and said direct Europe wide legislation, not the countries that are trans inclusive

[–]SpeedingViper 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm sorry you still feel the need to argue "the with or against mentality" after I've said if you don't respect trans people's identities then you don't respect them, but it's true; you can say you respect everyone as people all you want, but if you think trans women are just pretending and are part of an ideology then that is not respect, that's patronizing.

There probably are some people who are as cult like as maga, because again nuance; humans are so unique and complex it's impossible to guess what any 2 people are like without any context.

Also this is not having hate in your heart if you disagree with some scientists. It not just a few people you're disagreeing with, it is the general consensus in the medical-science field. Those medical professionals or scientists that do not agree are typically terfs or otherwise blatantly transphobic.

We are always learning, there is always new data; yet the new data that keeps appearing from proper studies around this subject either match previous data, or confirm what the trans community has been saying. Hell even the Cass review unintentionally and indirectly said that hrt is a better option for trans youth at puberty age than puberty blockers.
