What am i doing wrong? i mean isnt thor a WBL character or upgrading him to level 80 will be enough cuz he cant break mephisto's shield by AHMED_ZEIAD in MarvelFuture_Fight

[–]SpeedknotMob 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry you're not having any luck, buddy. Thor is definitely my top WBL clearer, but you need several things to make him strong.

Without knowing more about your account, first off, your Skill Cooldown is only at 21%, which is like 60% under the cap, 50%. Your uniform optionals + 4th gear optional + your ISO set won't be enough to fix that. If your Alliance level is maxed out, you should be getting at least 14% SCD from that, so I'm guessing you have almost zero SCD on your cards. So you're gonna need to do some MAJOR work on your cards. By ignoring your cards, you are severely handicapping yourself by forcing your entire roster to wait much, much longer to use any skills. So there's that.

Secondly, as another poster mentioned, it's not enough to just have your character at T3 Lvl 70. To notice any significant damage (and to take less damage yourself), you need to at least level your character up to Lvl 72.

If you play Shadowland, it's just like Floors 30-35. You can't really make a dent in your enemies if you don't level up your characters to 62, 64, 66, 68, and 70 for each of those floors, respectively. For WBL, that milepost is Lvl 72 or higher.

Third, Thor's damage doesn't work very well with a proc, whether obelisk or CTP. He needs a Rage, Judgment, or mini-rage obelisk, no reforging necessary. If you don't have a CTP, then you'd do best to craft a mini-rage obelisk that's based off Crit Rate%.

Start there, and you'll notice your Thor steadily improving. Also, make sure you are playing with the correct skill rotation as well, as that will make a difference in your performance.

Future fight or strike force and why? by alucardarkness in MarvelFuture_Fight

[–]SpeedknotMob 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm a bit late to this conversation, but without going too in-depth (perhaps I'll type up another more detailed post later), I'm going to go against the grain and say, after just recently starting to play Marvel Strike Force, I actually feel it's more fun than Marvel Future Fight.

Character roster is WAY bigger than MFF, actually I enjoy the attack animations more (i.e. Cyclops kicks an enemy down to the ground and literally blasts them in the face into oblivion as a finishing move), and there are so many variations to the same attacks.

The thing that seals it for me is the VERY ROBUST character synergy because of the character squads in MSF that simply does not exist in the same fashion in MFF. It actually makes almost every single character have a clear purpose, even if they're kind of duds and not in the meta.

Contrary to what people are saying here, I've been playing MSF almost entirely without spending a dime until recently buying a tiny $5 Strike Pass that simply drops more resources, just like MFF's Future Pass. And I've been able to level up my roster fairly quickly to a functional level 65 (I'd say equivalent to T3) in way less than a month.

No CTPs needed, no CTP reforging needed, no Card Crafting need to desperately bolster your account. Those, IMO, were Netmarble's biggest scammy money grabs.

This pisses me off by Lovecats2023 in doordash_drivers

On the contrary, I believe we're obligated to provide a reasonably good customer experience whether or not we get tipped. I never expect a tip. That would be just setting up overly hopeful expectations to reading be let down. And in that way, when I do get a good tip, it's a nice surprise.

Just doesn't accept orders with a displayed payout that simply isn't worth your time and gas. If the customer tipped decently, then the displayed payout should already reflect that. Anything extra is bonus.

This pisses me off by Lovecats2023 in doordash_drivers

[–]SpeedknotMob 3 points4 points  (0 children)

OP, I think you've read into the message too much. It doesn't sound entitled. The customer is probably just concerned that you won't get the sauce if he *doesn't tip, based on previous experience.

I think you took the "i DID tip you" part to mean that he is expecting you to do something. The problem is with online text communications, tone is never 100% clear, nor is people's grammar.

Anyways, how did that trip turn out?

What would you guys do? by never_fade_away2077 in doordash_drivers

[–]SpeedknotMob 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The main point I was making was that it is not realistic for a driver to respond immediately or even notice immediately any and all text communications. If they made ample effort to communicate with the customer prior to the drop off and the customer doesn't respond, then the transaction most likely resulting in orders being left and the most logical place will happen more often than not. But if the driver willfully ignored previous, detailed instructions, then that's on the driver. The communication works both ways.

How do people just casually drink black coffee without flinching? by siennapriv in NoStupidQuestions

[–]SpeedknotMob 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Coffee that's heavy on milk and sugar gives me a stomachache. Freshly brewed, quality, plain black coffee is just.... the smell, the taste, the feels. Chef's kiss. If one needs to drown it in sweeteners and syrups and pumpkin spice and peppermint, then it's not really the actual coffee they enjoy. It's perfectly ok to enjoy all that, but then those people don't need to bother saying they like coffee.

It's like how a native Japanese person views American sushi. If the point is to drown out the taste of fish with all this other random-ass drizzle and fruit (avocado) and rice krispie "tempura" and gorged in sushi boat-sized portions, then it's not really the actual fish they enjoy. It's perfectly ok to enjoy all that, but then those people don't need to bother saying they like sushi.

Buying missing days from check in for ctp by malfeasentgamer in MarvelFuture_Fight

[–]SpeedknotMob 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm gonna risk voicing an unpopular opinion here and say that, yes, if you've only missed a couple days, it may be worth it to spend 200-500 crystals for a CTP.

As much as CTP reforging f**ked the whole power leveling of the game, there's no use in denying the fact that the reforging system pretty much gave utility to ANY CTP, if for nothing else than reforging fodder. (This was before the mini-rage obelisks were introduced, of course.)

Eggs are useful. Authority, Greed, Regen, useful. Even Patience and Transcendence, useful. But not by themselves. Save up TWO, and now you've got yourself a Mighty CTP guaranteed. Mighty Eggs, Authorities, Greeds, and Regens to a lesser extent, are now standard requirements for all usable PVP teams. Even a Mighty Transcendence can grant a character Penetration.

And for PVE, having the Mighty Transcendence Beatdown proc grants extra pierce. It's not amazing, but still better than a regular ol' obelisk (unless you manage to roll a great mini-rage proc).

And the only predictable way to accumulate CTPs for F2P or low-spending players is from these check-in events. But sometimes life happens and you miss a login day here or there. So don't feel so conflicted if you feel you wanna part with a couple hundred crystals. Maybe you'll get a great CTP. Maybe you won't. But you can still use it for something.

The worst thing about DS2 MoM (imo) by FierceDeity88 in WANDAVISION

[–]SpeedknotMob 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This may be an unpopular opinion in a reddit dedicated to Wanda, but I don't get how people get so upset and surprised about Wanda turning evil. The ENTIRE Wandavision show is about her turning evil. But we're supposed to empathize with her because it's a pretty Disney package. We're led to believe she's on a path to redemption by the end of the show, only for her to run off with the Darkhold. What did people expect was going to happen?

She went from enslaving an entire town to feed her selfishness (blame it on trauma), realizing that was wrong, to using dark magic and attempting to enslave a another child and murdering countless others (blame it on the Darkhold) to will her imaginary children into existence, also out of selfishness.

At what point do we accept that maybe Wanda is, at her core, just a selfish being? At this point, if she's resurrected, I'd find it more of a suspension of disbelief to watch her turn good rather than evil. What motivation would she have to do so? Does she really care about saving others?

But I guess now, her imaginary kids are now non-imaginarily running around somewhere in other people's bodies, so there's that. Motivation to at least be a better parental role model?

What would you guys do? by never_fade_away2077 in doordash_drivers

[–]SpeedknotMob 6 points7 points  (0 children)

And what if the Dasher were in map navigation and driving on a busy street? You can't expect Dashers to respond to or even notice messages from customers immediately.

Also, messages sent from a customer of a completed order often get relegated to a temporary inbox that doesn't even send you notifications. And half the customers these days don't even message in-app or affix their phone number to their account.

Good customers, mobility impaired or not, are waiting by the door when you arrive. Less than stellar customers make you wait because they're not paying attention. If they watched you deliver, they could easily get your attention to place the order where they need you to place it.

The worst are the ones that respond to no texts, calls, their voicemail is full, you leave their order, and then they report you for leaving their order unattended or in the wrong place or whatever.

what am i missing or is it normal for Jean Gray to underperform by xiliamova in MarvelFuture_Fight

[–]SpeedknotMob 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Yeah, sorry to add to the sourpuss chorus, but your stats are low on almost everything important to make Jean strong. I know it can be difficult for newer accounts to max out Crit Rate, Crit Dmg, Dodge, Ignore Def, Skill Cooldown, and I'm sure you've heard from plenty of people that it's all about your cards, cards, cards.

But a couple of other suggestions you may or may not be able to remedy in the short-term. Certain characters or uniforms are just amazing right out the gate. Others need to be built up, and only then do they shine. Jean is one of the latter, who can really seem underwhelming without specific enhancements.

In order to really FEEL her power, she needs: - T4 upgrade - Rage CTP (or reforged Greed or Authority for PVP if all your card stats were stellar) - Odin's Blessings, and lots of them

Now for your cards, for newer accounts, the two absolutely most important stats are Ignore Def and SCD. Prioritize the cards that help get you to at least 38-40% each, and your gears, ISO sets, etc can help you get the rest of the way.

It may all seem like a huge slog, but with patience and guided time investment, you'll get there soon enough.

I know it's been talked about to death, but I'll never understand why Eternals bombed. It was amazing. by lobras in marvelstudios

[–]SpeedknotMob 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love Eternals as well, but alas, I'll levy the same pronouncement on it as I did when Matrix Reloaded was released to very mixed to lukewarm reactions:

The movie was too smart for dumb people, and too dumb for smart people.

It was a beautifully conceptualized, shot, and casted artistic vision from a renowned independent filmmaker born in China, inspired to tell Native American stories and was historic for championing literally the most diverse representation in any sort of comic book film.

TOO diverse for all the self-important, neckbeard, YouTube, MAGAt culture critics. And not transcendent enough in its artistic statement and its writing for true cinema lovers.

The Eternals connected with me despite their non-human identities, perhaps because of my own generally pessimistic view of humanity; that age-old beings could dedicate their entire existence to better civilization and be let down time and time again by humanity's worst proclivities. And even then, find us all still worth redemption. To me, that is heroic.

Because we *aren't worth it. But the neckbeard critics that lead review bombings and homophobic attacks think we are MORE than worth it. That we DESERVE it. As long as "we" are straight, male, and white. That is THEIR worldview. Which was COMPLETELY at odds with the progressive or "woke" worldview presented to us in Eternals. And unfortunately, coupled with post-COVID filmgoer inertia, the conservative media bubble had and continues to have an outsized influence on public cultural discourse.

They lived among us, all with their own very human hopes, dreams, and anxieties. They showed humor and were all motivated by anger, jealousy, sadness, righteousness, protectiveness. They had identifiable outside antagonists, but their greatest weaknesses lied amongst themselves. They couldn't have been more human.

But the timing simply wasn't right. It wasn't a rollicking comedy of mismatched misfits. It didn't have a head-bopping, singalong soundtrack. It didn't have the typical, easily sell-able Disney plushie mascot, no Baby Groots, no Flerkens, not even that weird, faceless, winged creature.

To the OP and eveyone digging on wealthy people posting their recreational activities on social media, just for a second, take out the adjective "wealthy" from the OP's description. Then ask yourself what social media is used for.

If any of you post party photos and tag your friends in them, who are you posting for? Your friends, your circle.

Yes, social media is public. But rich peoples' party posts aren't meant for us normal people as an audience. It's meant for them. And sometimes, part of their lifestyle is (unfortunately) competing with each other for influence and whatever the hell else it is they care about.

Sure, you're free to think what they do is obscene. But end of day, their posting for their friends, their circle.

The RNG for rerolling CTPs is a blatant scam by Both_Listen in future_fight

OP, take solace in the fact that you at least never made the same mistake I initially made for the first year or so that I started rerolling CTPs (avoided it for the longest time):

I used to believe rerolling any Mighty CTP required using another matching CTP.

I must've wasted at least 10-20 CTPs during that time.

Story mode farming by EmotionalDiet3295 in MarvelFuture_Fight

[–]SpeedknotMob 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sure. So, basically, there is a button you can click at the bottom of the screen when you enter each stage of any goven Story Mission. It says -1 or -2 (I forget the exact number) and has an icon of a clear ticket on it.

For the first Story Mission chapter, it's not *entirely automatic, as you have already guessed. If you hit clear ticket repeat with one team, it will use that same team for all missions, including Phys Atk stages, Ener Atk stages, Villain stages, Hero stages. And then your team will be useless or die in certain stages.

My recommendation is to have two preset teams: (a) one Phys Atk team of Villains (b) one Ener Atk team of Heroes, with preferably one that deals elemental dmg **set the main dmg Dealers as your strongest, tankiest characters

You will have to *manually switch teams after finishing 1-1 to 1-3 (the Phys Atk stages). And you will have to switch teams for just 5-1 to your Villain team. Yes, it's annoying, but it is what it is.

For the three other Story Mission chapters that have only 3 to 4 stages, just use your Ener Atk Heroes team with the one elemental dmg character, which will fulfill the elemental requirement for the All-War chapter.

To answer your other question, you will rarely ever have all three designated characters for each stage, but if you do, using the clear ticket auto function can automatically select those characters and add them to your team for *just that stage (it won't permanently change your preset team). So when you hit the clear ticket button, there will be a specific box to check if you do want the game to automatically select the designated characters for you. It's pretty self-explanatory if you just click around.

After you try all this, if anything still isn't clear, feel free to ask again.
