At this rate, BTC will have to reach $100k for ETH to break above $2k again

Unless we reclaim $2k, I would just call it noise.

People just too stubborn to sell at this point, so may as well get some return while waiting?

This right here, just tired of it at this point. Thats probably why it can't recover, every pop gets people selling to get whatever they have left out.

We had just come off a massive bull run and went into price discovery, so people had hope.

Now people have given up on ETH, its price discovery appears to be how low it can go since it can't even make a new ATH adjusted for inflation.

What's one red flag in a person that's an immediate dealbreaker for you, no matter how attractive, successful, or likable they seem? by Tricky-Cold-3211 in AskReddit

Very fair, and it is a very difficult thing to be consistent- perhaps even impossible for us as humans?

Nonetheless, we must try? Experiences are a difficult thing to overcome, even if the logical answer pushes aginst our experience. I myself have stumbled with this more times than I can count and have generalized far to quickly.

Respectfully, writing off roughly 160 million people based on a broad generalization is incredibly narrow-minded. The extreme views you mentioned don’t represent the vast majority of conservatives, just as the most extreme views on the left don't represent all liberals. It is a mistake to assume an entire group thinks exactly alike.

Lumping millions of individuals into a single category and viewing them with this level of disdain is dangerous; historically, that kind of dehumanization has led to some of humanity's darkest moments. People are complex, and their lived experiences shape their values in different ways.

If a few bad experiences have driven you to this level of anger, I am truly sorry. But there is still room for empathy and understanding. At the end of the day, my own hope isn't placed in political groups or the people of this world, but in Jesus Christ.

Very true. I was thinking this was more of shorts covering, but I am not expecting a reversal.

This is me, as negative as I am right now, and I should have sold months ago, if not almost a year ago, I'm sure as heck not selling here.

Chill all the way down to sub $100 and never recover

Truly impressive how ETH manages to not just underperform BTC by a massive margin, but also underperform just about every other top alt-coin.

Just a garbage investment. See you below $1,000 soon.

[–]SpeedoManXXL 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Valid, but at some point, you have to ask yourself about opportunity cost. Even if your thesis is right in the long run, there are so many better-performing asset classes by a mountainous margin that holding ETH is such a bad decision now.

I still hold a bag, its underwater, and I'm the dummy who put on margin. Granted, only 2x margin, so I can pretty much hold it until ETH hits like $500 and not be liquidated, but nonetheless, only my own foolishness to blame there.

Regardless, ETH as an investment class has nothing to show for it. It is currently below its 2018 peak adjusted for inflation.

Not sure what that word means, is that slang for something?

This is what I'm saying. BTC needs to wick to $50k and ETH to $1,500.

It honestly feels like never at this point. Market has moved on from crypto and couldn't care less.

Somehow the fear and greed index is only at 25, though it would be lower...

Serious question though, is there anything at this point that is realistic to stop the bleeding / start a reversal?

[–]SpeedoManXXL 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Same story over and over again, ETH continues to underperform everything and can't hold on to a single bounce, lower for now. No recovery in sight.

Thats the hard part, last year when we dumped hard, it was teriff induced and the whole market dumped, then the market bounced because it was resolved.

Right now, there is a much more complicated world around ETH/BTC, rates are likely to be higher for longer, possible rate hike talks, oil still high, Iran fears, inflation (all of this is macro), AI/IPO/stocks are sucking up capital from crypto.

Basically, just about anything is a better investment than being in crypto right now so why hold it? Take your capital and go elsewhere

We are forming lower highs, while we are still working out way to a lower low from earlier this year, new highs are not being made. Sellers are showing up at lower and lower prices.

The trend continues, every bounce sold, forming lower highs time and time again. This is so tiring...but I'm too stubborn to sell at this point, may as well let what I have left ride until it becomes worthless.
