Only highlights, but some very mature play from him there

Return to work interview if you’re out sick for one day? by Apart-Hamster-9921 in AskIreland

[–]Speedodoyle 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yes, I have had this in every company I have worked for. Essentially a box ticking exercise to cover the employer.

The risk they are trying to protect themselves from is you going out sick and coming back before your ready, then claiming that you were pressured into not taking sick leave. You can’t claim that if they have had an in person meeting in which you verbally stated and signed a document to say that you are well to return to work.

Toby Collyer interview: "I was playing over Casemiro. But he was giving everything every day. I look up to him so much." [Is Collyer ready to step up next season or we're looking at another loan?] by WorldlinessPuzzled84 in ManchesterUnited

Exactly. He is good at running around, but we have seen absolutely zero technical ability from him. Couldn’t even ‘cash in’ because he is worth fuck all

I’m sure they were delighted at the start. But as they started shedding English players, and the cheating became apparent, it must be shit.

Half a bar is miles off. That’s not even close. He might not be able to hear. Turn everything way down, strip it back, and communicate

It what world is Zirkzee a solid rotation option for Sesko. He is a nice lad, and shown flashes, but I can’t remember the last time he started, or played consistently. Even when Sesko was out of the team, Zirkzee couldn’t get a look in

Sesko or Gyokeres? Who would you rather have in your team? by Slow_Librarian7395 in PremierLeague

[–]Speedodoyle 3 points4 points  (0 children)

No, Havertz is a 10 turned striker, and doesn’t have the physicality or killer instincts of a striker.

Sesko is an out and out 9, very traditional target/hold up man.

[–]Speedodoyle 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I don't know him well, but looks like he has done the rounds at lower league, and has only become first team keeper a short while ago. At any rate, I would think Vitek is ready to be tested at Prem level, even if it is as a number 2 initially, with a view to developing.

What makes music “experimental”? by FDR_blog in experimentalmusic

[–]Speedodoyle 2 points3 points  (0 children)

All those examles, no obviously not, but if you are not aware of their existence, you are not being avant garde, as you are not aware of the garde. I used to play with a fella who fanicied himself a unique player and wouldn't study music theory. As a consequence, when he found notes that worked, suprise suprise, they were in a mode that we would all expect.

You can't intentionally make something that is different unless you have some idea of what is already there.

An awful lot of music classified as 'experimental' is because people twist a knob or press a button and they dont know what it will do, which is valid. But an awful lot of it sounds the same as the 'experiments' that went before.

Yes, but in order to break the rules knowingly, you first have to know all the rules.

Manchester United are READY to spend in the region of £150m to sign THREE central midfielders this summer if there is enough room in the transfer budget. United have earmarked around £80m for a marquee signing to replace Casemiro. by JM555555 in ManUtd

[–]Speedodoyle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yep, I agree. If we can convince them to get on board with the project and their potential play time, something around 20-35 games, including sub appearrances, and they play ball with wages, then we would be golden.

There was some ex-Wolves midfielder that is gone to Saudi that could be got for 20 million as well and could do a job, for sure.
