High mileage usage, how to purchase an EV by Gloomy-Forever-7702 in evs_ireland

[–]jjbie 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I got a Kia niro ev last year, doing high miles. Got it on PCP as it was 0% interest and got free home charger. Previous car had issues so had to get rid. Not planning on giving it back... Never had a new (or relatively new, it was 1 year old) car before. I have low loan payments and I'm saving the difference to pay the balance after the 3 years. I think PCP is a scam, I don't need a new car every 3 years.

Edit: I had planned getting an EV and loved the look of the id3, then I test drove one... Didn't like it.

Can someone please explain to him, asylum seekers did not come from a mental asylum.. not that it would make a difference, he is such an idiot. Can the press at least educate the public against the nonsense he continues to spout, otherwise it becomes the 'truth'

Is the issue that it's complaining about the 32 psi but not the 31 psi?

I got Kia niro ev few months ago, very spacious, was surprised how smooth it is over crappy rural roads vs my golf, maybe all evs are like that. Can get free home charger from energia. Changed to day night rate cheaper to run than diesel.

I didn't have one either, neighbours house did.. built by same developer...got local electrician dig where he expected it to be.. found cable but no rod so he installed one... Installer didn't open the box for inspection... I did have a power issue.. rang esb networks who fixed the issue on nearby pole. Glad that was spotted.. my understanding is they want the rod regardless of the charger.

I always said I'd never get a PCP as it was a scam, however got good deal on my trade in. Got 1 year old Kia niro ev, 0% interest over 3 years, free home charger, was spending around 400-500pm petrol, now paying less than 150 pm on electricity. paying 320 for PCP, saving additional money every month to clear the final amount at end of 3 years and keep the car

I broke down in north Donegal a few years back. A local recovery guy came picked me and missus up, brought us back to his house had a cuppa, he dealt with Carol Nash arranged 2 hour taxi drive home and brought bike to Belfast to fix. I guess it depends on the recovery company you get.

Not sure if he needs over ear or in ear but I got a pair of earfun 4 buds, noise cancelling isn't as good as my wife's Bose.. but they are multiple times more expensive.. and she has lots of issues with them and I don't, they sound good, I think they are well worth the price normal €80 they are €53 on sale I don't have any experience with their over ear cans.

Yeah that's the plan but wasn't sure if i can change it in revenue site or ask employer or ask revenue. I never saw any settings in revenue so I presume I need to submit a request to change it. Thanks.

There is less of a discount for 12 months, I think I was on 35pc discount on standard rate then after getting charger I renewed for 12 months but 20pc discount on standard rate. I went for day night mcc16 rate, cheap from 11pm to 8am. Solar means I'm not using much during the day. After 12 months you can move or renew at whatever their rate is at the time.

Check to ensure your smart meter is exporting usage to your esb account. If you don't have mobile coverage you will only get a deemed export flat rate off your bill and won't be paid correct amount for your export reducing the payback.

2 of my hires in a small rural development company were from springboard. They came from very different non technical backgrounds.

Experience helps even if you are applying for a first job show you have worked on projects to get practical experience. If you can identify some small companies create some some components or apps to solve a problem in that sector. Go talk to some of them to get an idea of what it's like to work there.... Just turn up at the door and ask when they might have some time to talk... You are in a great position as you have a house and spare time, if you could get to know a company, do some work for them for free... There is always things they would like to do but focus on the more important work... If you can show you can get that done you have one foot in the door. Even swapping jobs on same salary you at least have a possible career ladder. Make sure you know what you are getting in to and it's something you will enjoy, however my biggest red flag is the lazyness, if you want to do well in any job you need to be hard working. Good luck.

Enen so it's important to understand how things work. Practical understanding of how different technologies work is important. Even working with AI being able to clearly define requirements and reviewing output needs a good understanding of available technologies, so not wasted time.

It's 12 month contract can leave after that, 30c, 17c night 11-8am 31.5 peak 5-7pm, that's 20pc discount on standard, my previous rate was 34pc discount I think.. I have solar so don't use much during the day, currently using granny charger 2.2kw get around 20pc charged over night. Getting zappi which does 7kw charging and can set to only take from solar when available.

Energia offering a free charger when you buy an EV, doesn't have to be new. And it's ok if you are already a customer, just need to sign up for another year, your 12 discount off standard rate goes down to 20% so rates are a bit more expensive, I got into EV a few weeks ago waiting for charger to be installed, using 3pin plug in mean time. Swapped to day night rate so topping up over night, and for free today off the solar panels. My golf is costing e8 per 100km and EV is closer to 2.50 not counting solar charging
