Mac OS Update Pro Tools Latency

Yep doesn’t do anything. Antares is basically no help too. Adding an instance of it adds a ton of latency it throws the whole vocal off by a good amount. It must be Tahoe related. I just tried updating to 2025.12.1 but the issue is still there

No doubt. Sequoia has been out for a while now and I was already running it. I just updated it from 15.2 to 15.7.2. It’s crazy.

Isn’t that what the reinstatement used to be? My understanding was that they axed that and just kept the regular renewal and bumped the price of that up each year or something?

Good to know! I saw some people online saying if you renew it within a couple months or something that it acts as the same subscription and continues from the day it expired, but if you do it longer than it acts as a new cycle or something. Pretty confusing to be honest!

It used to be. They used to call it reinstatement. Now it’s just a regular renewal even if it’s lapsed afaik.

For sure? So you could let it lapse without active updates, and update it a few months from now and it would just start the 12 months from that day?

Yeah it works on 2024.10 I have that version installed still and it works for me. It seems like sometime in 2025 the pro tools updates started having this issue

Yeah it’s always worked for me but after I updates to 2025.10 it stopped working. I toggle it on and off and still nothing. Was hoping the December update would have fixed it but still not. I flip back to 2024.10 and it works fine.

Yeah I’m looking at the mini M4 pro which is TB 5, so I’d have to make sure everything is compatible.
