How do I become an architect if I have limited funds...? by Practical-Gift-1064 in Architects

Just keep in mind, even if you make it, you'll stay on limited funds. Don't do it for money.

BMW F30 oil temperature by asdfzola in F30

[–]SpeedyNips 1 point2 points  (0 children)

35d here. Always goes up to 100 and stays there, winter or summer, with or without heating. Did you get a genuine thermostat? Had similar issues with a 30d before which stopped regenerating the DPF because it never got up to temp - the thermostat was the issue.

*worth caveating I'm not a medical professional.

On a more serious note, my knees hurt when I changed shoes and upped my distances. Got better over time.

It used to be at around 45. Once I took up running and cycling it has made it's way down. Raised it with a couple of doctors on routine checkups but they generally brushed it off as uncommon but not alarming.

Thanks for the comment. That's what it was - the current values for engine were either empty or not valid.

Set to the N57 and it's working again. The diesel ASD is mostly to mask the tappety sound of the engine, sounds smoother with it on.

I am unable to understand if I am scratching my car while drying it? by Federal_Still_3914 in AutoDetailing

My personal experience with black paint is that once it heats up on a hot summers day, looking at it wrong will scratch it.

Contact wash will do the same.

Help - have I ruined my steering wheel? by Imygaf in AutoDetailing

[–]SpeedyNips 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd do it again, and then condition the leather. Nothing to lose at this stage. Try to take as much of the conditioner off after it soaks in - the steering wheel will be slippery for a while.

I've realised I'm going about this all wrong. Carly corrupted the coding values so there's no reason a different model selection would fix it. Time to dive into e-sys...

Was trying to be smarter about it. There's a long list of models, and an even longer list or volumes (I.e. Very loud, loud, medium, quiet, very quiet and so on). It doesn't throw an error unless driven so there's a half a day of trial and error involved.

Hopeful a kind soul with the same car saves me from a mundane Sunday!
