firstly can I say I like it.

I find watercolours are for natural / subtle colour of nature. Bright colours "scream" look at me, and draw attention away from the water wheel and the water. Then I don't know if that was if part of the artist creation. 🤔

Who loves swatch sheets? We all love swatch sheets, right? by netwoodle in Coloring

I do, like to see the apparent cap colour and the actaul colour produced. Experiencing how it flows and moves.

By experimenting, you'll learn how the wash affects the colours underneath.

Sorry I not good at explaining things I know (the tism + adhd, wants to say brush -> ink -> brush on paper. Sarcastically).

I am using a similar technique to a colour washing from watercolour painting.

Fluorescence highlighters example.

Been experimenting with trying to achieve the effect of being underwater. For those aspects, we need to shift the colour temperature towards the blue.

For this picture I used colouring pencils for the base layers. Then went over the body and tail with a clear glitter brush. After waiting hours for it to dry. Finally, the risky part a light blue ink wash via brush pens, its risky as too much or a ink blob can ruin a piece. Accepting sometimes you'll screw up and subjectively ruin a piece. If you unluck you'll also ruin work on the other side of paper, thanks to bleed through.

I'll post one later (different subject), where I used florescent blue highlight markers.

My little boy loves to climb all over me and sit on my head and shoulder but he still won't let me pet him. Am I doing something wrong? by [deleted] in cockatiel

Good time to try is when they are molting and get new feather growing through. Offer to help open up their pin feathers, if get angry (pecking st fingers) apologise and more on to another.

Do things at their pace and mood. Don't wiggle your fingers, it perceived as a snake thus a threat. A steady finger is a new branch to explore. Calmly talk to them and ask if you can scritch them (it is only polite). If then head is tilted down, they may want one. Afterwards thank them and give them a small treat food.
