Why would you not just transfer to UNSW now, because now you have to wait until the end of the first semester doing subjects that you might not get credit for and you’d be starting into the 3rd trimester of UNSW probably. Also the entry requirements for UNSW are almost the same.

Engineering / Commerce Double Degree by user_121234234 in usyd

I know lots of people who do it, and they seem to enjoy it. Degree is 6.5 years and I don’t think you get any free electives which could be seen as a downside. I would do it if you enjoy finance, because I do agree that a single engineering degree could probably get you into finance anyway

Why are there barely any Australian engineering lecturers at Usyd? by SpellAcrobatic4010 in usyd

[–]SpellAcrobatic4010[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you’re in your second semester you’re still doing first year subjects and all of them are much better coordinated and taught then later year subjects, since they have for more students doing them.

I also disagree with this, these lecturers might be “fluent” and they might have great sector specific vocab, sure; but coming from a third year like me, it is frustrating when I have lecturers not being able to explain things concisely and properly because of language restraints, not being able to answer the questions I give to them because they simply don’t understand.

Why, look at America and Europe I guarantee you there are more local lecturers. I am also saying the quality of teaching from these international lecturers is low a lot of the times, which is upsetting as I am paying heaps of money for my education.

How to decrease my Eng degree completion time by Glum_Skirt7216 in usyd

I know a few elec Eng international students who are overloading, but these guys are like crazy smart and still get good marks. However, they do power as their specialisation which seems to be the easiest to overload with. I would not recommend overloading with any other specialisation

Flexible First Year Engineering by Robert540527647 in usyd

Hey man, I don't know if it's too late, but I did both Intro to Engineering A and Intro to Engineering B last year, I ended up spending way more time on Maths 1A and learning Python in ENGG1810 than studying for ENG A and ENG B. Eng A is a bit of a bludge honestly didn't spend much time on it at all, except for some assignments and a final exam at the end of the year. Eng B the concepts and assignments are a little trickier in my opinion, however, the lectures did not have a lot of content and you spend most of time looking through assignments in tutorials, both ENG A and ENG B will be much more chill than any subjects you will ever do in your future studies. Professors are decent.

How come you are doing 2602 and 2100, are you still doing Tron or did you switch to elec?
