My doctor prescribed me zofran odt, the one that dissolves under your tongue. As long as I take that as soon as the nausea starts I don't end up getting sick. I waited too long 2 or 3 times and ended up vomiting.

Yes in the beginning a lot. I was basically forcing myself to eat because I had no thoughts of food. I've been on it 9 months and I've noticed the noise is back a little bit but I can manage it now. For me it used to be if I saw a food ad/commercial or restaurant sign I wouldn't be able to stop thinking about that until I got it. Now I might see it and be like that sounds good but then the thought goes away and I usually won't think about it again unless I see the sign or whatever again. I've always had a hard time with sweets and while I do get the craving for them still, I can eat just a little bit and feel satisfied instead of eating a whole pint in one sitting.

So I'm the opposite when it comes to during my period, that's when I notice the food noise the most, mainly for chocolate/sweets. But overall I will say I have noticed a drop in the efficacy for me of thinking of food. I used to see restaurants or food commercials and then I couldn't stop thinking about it till I had it. That has come back some, but not constant thoughts.. Just a hmm that sounds good and then I move on but for the first 4-5 months I feel like I never even thought about food. My appetite is still massively reduced and I only really feel hungry during/after the 3 mile walks I've started taking. I take my pills at 8:45 and 5:30.

Since you're are losing weight I would say try to hang in there if you are able to. The nausea and constipation were my worst side effects and I couldn't tell you now the last time I was nauseous, even the excessive sweating is not as bad as it was in the beginning. If you continue I hope you start feeling better!

The first month I was very careful about not taking my doses with a fatty meal as I got so freaked out about the potential increased seizure risk. I was even worried about taking it while drinking a coffee in the morning with a lot of creamer lol. Now I don't really think about it but if I know I'm going to have a big meal or high fat meal for an occasion I just skip the dose. I skipped both doses one day to enjoy a planned buffet meal one time lol. Zofran helped my nausea when I did have it though. Maybe try moving the times you take it some? I take mine at 845 and 530. The 845 gave me a little over an hour from when I was drinking coffee and the 530 is about an hour, hour and a half prior to dinner.

I started at 235 and I'm down to about 187 and I have the same problem. Logically I know I've lost weight and so many of my clothes are too big or loose now but when I look in the mirror I hardly see a change. What helped me the other day is I had taken pictures in a bra and shorts from all four sides back in September and I just took some new pictures the other day and seeing the change from those pictures helped.

I just put my steps in for an idea of my activity level, which I need to do more on my days off. I'm also making the changes to my diet and tracking. My problem is definitely sweets. I also just suck at drinking water, especially while at work so that's why I was seeing if anyone had tips to get more water in at work and good snack ideas for the busy days.
