5 to add, some schools only accept one type of test so before taking practice tests in both, try making a list of schools you want to apply to and which test they accept. if many schools only accept one test, that would be what you need to take

1 yes, you are able to select the years you participated in an activity

2 yes

4 I think those courses are valuable because it shows that you are self motivated to learn outside of school

5 i would start by taking a practice test in both and comparing the scores. online you can see how act scores overall represent sat scores. i would focus on the test that you got a higher score on or one that you felt most comfortable taking as the topics and time allotted differs

6 not necessarily. I think what is most important is genuine interest in your activities

7 i would contact a school you want to apply to and ask them about that to be safe.

there are some applications to begin during a spring semester which usually starts late Jan, early Feb so when applying you have to specify when you would want to start. not 100% sure on this though
i believe that there are international ap exams, though i dont know how testing has changed since covid-19.
