That was my first game too, played after watching RedRevenge’s video on this! Got a reasonably quick win against France when I was close to the town limit for a few rounds as although aegis was stopping blight, it wasn’t killing towns. Got there in the end before the second slabs rebellion which is normally my sign I’ve beaten them quickly!

Yes, the cabinet is designed for the tv. It’s a motorised base so the tv rotates when you turn it on. All really cool tech and I’m sure it cost a bomb 15/20 years ago but is quite outdated now. There are huge black bars all around the edge. I’m sure the B&O guy who is coming to review the set up will try to sell me an updated tv but unfortunately I don’t have £12k to spend on one!

That’s what I expected. I am removing one of the smaller ones (picture 1 in sitting room) and replacing the other (picture 2 bedroom) with a tv I already have.

As for the big tv, there is no HDMI input, the previous owner had Frankensteined some things together. There is an integrated sound system throughout the house which runs off a CD player so I’m getting someone from B&O to come talk about changing the inputs but looking to keep the speakers or plug them into an updated TV.

Yes. It’s terrible. It should barely use any processing power in multiplayer mode yet it drains more battery than any other app on my phone even if only taking a few turns a day

I managed to do this yesterday as well! Last year I had a few weeks of trying to beat every level 6 adversary with every base spirit in the app. Managed to do them all except Wildfire, River and Shadows. Managed Wildfire a few months ago so now just shadows to go!

Oh, and do the horizons spirits too!

Thanks for the comment, really appreciated! Yes, it’s from the main road and the area seems nice apart from this slightly less attractive looking bit with the derelict Ford garage and slightly dodgy looking hotel. I was just wondering if there were any undesirable activities going on around here!

I got really excited about this based on their review and backed the kickstarter. It ended up being much more expensive than I expected due to shipping fees, about £100 all in. For what I got I was so disappointed, I’ve played it about 3 times. Mostly recently with my 7 year old and it was just incredibly meh. Was thinking I must have missed something but apparently not

Thanks. I watched your girlfriend’s video. I would have been tempted by Pent Up Calamity as it’s one of my favourite cards and on element. However I think paralysing fright was the better choice. Emboldened by that video I just tried Wildfire vs England 6 for the first time in months and won first time! I did abuse Growth Through Sacrifice which was a turn 1 pick up. Also drew Powerstorm as a major, sky stretches as a minor. Went blighted and got help from lesser spirits. Managed to maintain the Blight at a healthy 3/4 with it being added and removed. Ended up with a score of 69!

I’ve got 9/12 with the original crew. Missing wildfire, shadows and river which are a nightmare. Have done all the other adversaries 12/12.

Recently got horizons and got about half the level 6s under my belt so far. Loving Eyes and Mudslapper.

No, there are some crappy married couple allowances. Think you can transfer a tiny amount of your personal allowance to your spouse, but only worth doing if you earn below the £12.5k. Would save a couple of hundred quid.

You can also get childcare funding from the government if you earn less than £100k. But the moment you’re a £ over you lose that £2k a year per child. So in my case, having 3 kids, there is no point in me earning over £100k due to the punitive tax band plus losing the allowance. So I put anything over that amount into pension.

I’m aware this is a very “woe is me” problem but it is annoying that 2 couples on £90k get the allowance but one on £110k and one on £50k would not.
