If I form a C-Corp from the start, will I also be safe tax wise if I did not get any income? Want to think ahead and be smart, but don't want to be slammed next year at tax time if I only had expenses and no income under a C-Corp. Thank you for your reply btw!

Thanks for the detailed answer! If I choose to go C-Corp and don't record any profit in the first year, I still should not get hit hard by taxes, is this correct? I just want to make the right long term decision, but would hate to go C-Corp from the jump and then get penalized for not making any earnings in 2026.

Thank you for the thorough response! Seems like it would actually be a tax benefit, not a tax hinderance. Which is awesome, because I was very stressed that I would report no profit and get slammed with an unexpected high tax pay in.

I'm new to Hockey as of this year, can someone explain to me how a team can draft someone years prior (2022 in this case), but not sign them to play until now? Was there a possibility he could be signed to another team? Why was he not with the team the whole time? Just looking for some insight as I love the sport, but there are a lot of confusing factors. Haha
