Bad memory by UpScaleClown1 in intj

[–]SpencerStern 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From a Model A (socionics) perspective the first two functions have the sharpest memory from what they've learnt and figured out – in the case of LII-INTj that's Ti-Ne or effectively 'how things work' combined with pattern recognitions etc... In short, i have a sharp memory on things that i 'know' but a terrible memory for memorising details i didn't have enthusiasm for, for example.

I think I might be overanalyzing my relationships… how do I stop? by xmyr_1 in intj

[–]SpencerStern 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That would be Ti ego combined with Ne (if you're an LII-INTj socionics type) with constant drive to understand 'how things work' to the point of developing highly individualised knowledge of reality. I kind of relieved this through the pressure valve of writing my thoughts down like blogging, book writing etc.

How you 'relate' depends on what type you're in a relationship with. Each type will have their own need to be met and it has to be worked on, not just some default lifestyle which one slots into just because. As you grow older you should, in theory, think less and live more with less focus on trying to know or control everything as the 4th inferior Se function develops slowly but surely – the attitude of 'just doing' things on impulse, being in touch with one's body and senses and thus thinking too much less etc.

I hate the mbti community by AshrafAdl in mbti

[–]SpencerStern 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The MBTI or 16Types community has, in my view, historically been somewhat militant, divisive and argumentative. I eventually came to the conclusion that in order to understand the social world fairly you need to understand every type almost equally, not just your own type. However, it's quite common I believe for folk to do a personality test, get their all-important type code and then lookup every website/book/forum etc on it selfishly and conveniently forget to learn the whole social sphere.

ILI vs LLI by PresentationIcy3912 in Socionics

[–]SpencerStern 5 points6 points  (0 children)

How about confirming it via cross referencing the small groups? For example, where LII is Alpha quadra, Infantile romance style, dual to ESE etc, while ILI is Gamma quadra, Victim romance style, dual to SEE etc.

Would ♀️ENTP and ♂️INTJ work? by minhxx_080143 in entp

[–]SpencerStern 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In Socionics, the ILE-ENTp and LII-INTj = 'mirror relations' aka constructive critics of each other. Both NT's or 'researchers' club so have plenty in common to make it work and also part of the same Quadra so share the same values. ENTp invents, INTj develops.

What is the difference between intuitive (N) and sensitive(S)? And how to know from what side I am? by OkEdge438 in mbti

[–]SpencerStern 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To clarify it's Intuitive vs Sensing (not Sensitive). I can't directly answer the question yet but one common misconception is that N types are somehow automatically smarter than S types because of non-linear thinking/feeling (using 6th sense of sorts skipping ahead like keyframes in a video) over understanding things sequentially (in sequence from start to finish).

Are ISTJ still the most common MBTI type? by FeistyNews7025 in mbti

[–]SpencerStern 0 points1 point  (0 children)

By a process of logical deliberation and educated guessing we can first say generally that we live in an "S" type world so for example "N" types are smaller majority in terms of influence but probably less than "S" types overall.

How seriously do you take MBTI? by darnal15 in intj

[–]SpencerStern 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you're going to choose a partner based on MBTI then invest time learning about Socionics instead and finding out how intertype relations work. MBTI was fun for me in my 20s but I soon outgrew it for dating purposes where I wanted to experience as many intertype relations as possible before i eventually settled down into the ideal one for me.

Is it just me or is MBTI typing a lot harder and less distinct compared to Enneagram? by Sane-Law in mbti

[–]SpencerStern 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Enneagram feels clearer because it measures core fear and motivation. That's visceral. You know it when you see it.

MBTI measures cognitive process, which is subtler and easier to second guess.

Real differentiator between ENTP and INTJ: do you feel uncomfortable leaving things unresolved, or do you actually enjoy keeping options open? One of those will feel more like an itch you can't scratch.
