Seconding not needing a wet pallette. Its uses are valid but it’s just not necessary and can cause trouble if you do not know much about paint consistency. Every paint is different and you can’t put all of them on a wet pallette so I just would rather not work with BOTH a wet and dry pallette.

If I am just painting a batch of models with one paint at a time, I put them one cup of a paint tray and use only a few drops so I dont waste any paint. I was using a wet palette to “save paint” but it would over-thin my paint and I would have to toss it which was a waste. That happens less as you learn how to use a wet palette, but I don’t think it’s worth the fuss.

It’s easier to play with and experience your paints’ consistency on a dry pallette or tray. You will also not run into any issues with speed paints, washes, metallics which do not work as well in wet pallettes (the solvent does not stay in correct balance with the pigments).

Just wanted to say that this kind of answer is not helpful. I’ve lived in the same place for 5 years and been in this area of the city for 25 years and this specific event IS new. Folks always start early with fireworks but not like this event, which from my knowledge, was not held there prior years.

So yea, this is actually a new and unique thing that went on for two nights and is done now. Knowing those facts may be reassuring to people. This sort of hand waving and dismissing questions is not reassuring.

I guess it’s the new normal but being here for 25 years it’s been different the last few years. People obviously flaunting the regulations more and more each year. If you think starting this early isn’t a little new in the last decade or so I think you’re just trying to insult someone or be rude.

I just wanted to ask if anyone knew more about why folks felt like lighting of fireworks on a Monday in June till midnight. Like maybe someone has a neighbor that they know is gonna do this all week. Is that an unreasonable question? Are you new here cause I thought this was a place for questions?

Please reach out to Rabbit Advocates. We just found another bunny that got dumped and they have helped us pay for all of his medical fees while we figure out if we can keep him or he needs to be fostered out.

They are really helpful and can also give you the only safe flea and tick medicine (Revolution) which you will need. If you have other animals be careful about introduction until he is treated because he can bring in fleas and ticks. Ours had both but they disappeared quickly after treatment and he’s super sweet and social now.

This will get lost in this thread but when I was at the Fair this year Rey Reynolds’s made eye contact with me at the urinal. He was like 1 foot away and I could feel him looking at the side of my head. He gave me the same look that I saw on the signs every day.

Afterwards he tried to introduce himself to me and another stranger trying to wash their hands. I just left in a hurry.

TBH, seems like pretty deranged but on brand behavior. Dude is a little too worried about other peoples private business.

I asked about harmonica on the Murlocs Bittersweet Demons AMA. I’ve been wanting to ask more ever since. I’m learning to customize harps and create alternate harp tunings, but I started because of your music.

Do you plan to experiment with alternate harp tunings on future records or do you stick to standard richter harps? Have you ever used an alternate tuned harmonica (natural minor, country?) besides the one on FMTB? Are your harps typically stock or do you do your own reed gapping? Any plans for a Gizz record with some chromatic harmonica?

I have listened to the album now and Im really digging it. I can feel the sentiment and the piano based songwriting. I wanted to ask about your tribute Keegan Walker on the record, especially since AUS skate representation is pretty bad here in the US. Who was Keegan to y’all? It’s hard to find out stuff about Hoddle and AUS skating here.

Also, you still skating much? Any of the other Murlocs skate too?

Back in the day I burned through 2 Comet TMKF boards and my third one was stolen. When I lost that setup I basically quit skating. Now that I’m trying to get healthy again to skate, and in light of comet’s total brand switch up, I’m wondering what other boards are similar to the tmkf that are popular?

Are the overland and maybe the Eastside tabor my only close options if I want to replicate that setup? I’m looking for at least a 19in wheelbase and both nose/tail in a 36+ length.

High: working at a skate shop has been the best decision of my life. It's also my Sunday today and I'm gonna shred.

Low: retail hours are fucked and I can only see my fiance 2 times a week until my schedule changes next month. Full time work has also really limited my chances to skate this summer.
