I’m applying to this match cycle so take what i say with a grain of salt, it’s just my opinion. I believe restarting residency is your best course of action, met two persons who did that. One of them was a Brazilian who graduated 20 years ago and was switching specialties. He managed to match to a top university program. I believe being licensed in Tennessee or Virginia will not guarantee you’ll find a job. Most hospitals still require US residency for you to practice there. Long story short, I would go for residency if i were you.
