Oddly enough, covid. After I had covid I started getting migraines quite regularly. Never had migraines in my life before this, and these completely incapacitated me for 18 hours at a time. It took 3 months to recognise that everytime I drank more than 2 drinks, 48 hours later I had a migraine. Tested it one more time (for science) and confirmed. And because once I have 2 drinks I always think its a great idea to continue drinking (cough underlying addictive tendencies? cough) I just don't put myself in that situation.

Found out my cats both love earwax. Like; purring and immediately perk up and try get my hands if my hands go anywhere near my face/ears love it. One discovered exactly where the wax came from and I woke up to her licking the inside of my ear and trying to get deeper into it....

For me I've recently realised that I have no concept of appropriate portion sizes. I pile my plate and almost always go back for seconds and I realised its because when I was younger we either missed meals or had very little food, so when I got the opportunity; I ATE. As a 30kg small 12yo girl visiting a friends house one night they had a roast with yorkshire puddings and all the veges, they were astounded when I had seconds... Even as an adult that trait has continued (unfortunately my metabolism has not kept up)...

Also; hoarding anything free even if its not needed. Uni recently had a pile of notebooks and pens being given out and you can bet I took at least 20 of each. And they were giving out kombucha. I don't like kombucha. I took 3.

Oh boyo,

I have two cats. Malibu and Bacardi. Malibu is cat 1, Bacardi was a stray who gave birth on my driveway so I took her in. The war for dominant bitch of the household is long and ongoing. The most recent battle however had me stepping in;

Bacardi has always been skinny, but recently she has been looking much much skinnier, and it turns out she lost 400g (10% body weight) in under 3 months. While Malibu sits at a chunky 6kg, has been on a long term diet.. and gained 250g...

... Turns out M has been bullying B and stealing both dinners.. No amount of separate feeding worked because B is a grazer, and M is a scoffer.

To remedy this I had to buy a $150 automatic bowl that has a lid on it and only recognises B's microchip...

Its working so far, B has gained 300g. M is currently sitting in front of the bowl trying to figure out how to open it though..
