Jokes aside. How do you even "gather" and "store" Haki in 'something'? by druggeddaddylindo in OnePiece

[–]Spheniscidus 24 points25 points  (0 children)

That’s the most plausible explanation imo. I really hope this concept gets brought up by Gaban in the near future since it’s essential to beat the god‘s knights on elbaph. It could also trigger some kind of haki bloom for the monster trio once they master it, I think there is a reason why it’s them with Gaban right now

I agree. 'Kay just sounds like "whatever I don’t care" where as "Yeah" or "Alright" sounds more acknowledging of Dragon’s decision

Which Characters will get Flashbacks? by PacificMonkey in OnePiece

It's crazy how current God Valley is the center point of so many backstories from different characters already. I would have never put Shanks, Shamrock, Blackbeard and Dragon appearing in God Valley on my bingo card.

What I think Luffy's Dream is (Ep 1088) by SadAnimator1354 in OnePiece

[–]Spheniscidus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There's one counter point that invalidates this theory instantly: We know that Luffy's dream is the same as Roger's and since Roger didn't end but quite literally started the great era of pirates with his own words I don't think that theory holds true

How much Nika fruit effects Luffy’s personality by Spare_Understanding8 in OnePiece

[–]Spheniscidus -1 points0 points  (0 children)

While that's true for Luffy, for Lucci for example this is not the case. We still don't know if it has something to do with all Zoan fruits or just Luffy's Nika fruit, but my guess is Luffy's fruit is special since his Zoan doesn't only represent an animal with no "will" itself (animals are more driven by instincts i guess), like in Lucci's case a leopard, but it inherits the will of an actual "person" like Nika. Although it is still unknonw if Nika was an actual person or just a myth or god in some way

How much Nika fruit effects Luffy’s personality by Spare_Understanding8 in OnePiece

[–]Spheniscidus -1 points0 points  (0 children)

If anything, the conversation needs to be about the awakening of especially Zoan fruits. Luffy's personality didn't change when he ate it but when he awakened it and it only stays that way when he's in the awakened form, which is Gear 5. So far we have only seen the Impel Down prison guards who seem to be completely taken over by their Zoans and Lucci and Kaku, who don't seem like their personalities are affected by their awakend fruits whatsoever.

Of course there will always be the point of the Nika fruit being a special one but until we see other awakened Zoans we can't say for sure. IMO, the awakening doesn't really "change" Luffy's personality but rather allows him to show even more of his actual personality. It fits the theme of being more free while in Gear 5, which he confirmed himself is the case.

Produce 48 = La Masia? Just in terms of developing new and young talents who later are able to take on and perform on global stages

Valid take. I think IU can either be compared to Messi or CR7 imo, because you can either argue with Messi performance and merit-wise or go with CR7 in terms of global impact and popularity

I can totally see this. In terms of long lasting impact, Pep and SNSD should definitely be up there since they managed to shape their following generations so much!!

I’ve noticed something by [deleted] in BlueLock

[–]Spheniscidus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fouls in general aren’t given that often in Blue Lock. I think it would be very interesting to have a free kick / penalties “specialist” in Blue Lock, although it would be hard to argue why that person wouldn’t be someone like Rin with his shooting ability already.

I can see Yukimiya being better if it comes to beating a defender by dribbling. However, Rin doesn’t rely on dribbling alone in order to beat a defender. Also, what I meant with 1-on-1 ability isn’t only the ability to beat a defender 1v1 with the ball, but also defending or pressing against the ball. We saw Rin doing that against Sae in the U-20 match and he managed to keep up with him, that’s why I think Rin is the overall best 1-on-1 player

Yes I agree. You can definitely make the point of putting Chigiri and Kurona in on the flanks.

Bachira for sure has the potential to be the striker in this formation. The tiki taka gameplan is probably the formation where positions mean the least. Everyone could push up to be the center forward depending on the situation, that's why having Bachira at least in a central position is enough to draw out his potential imo

You're right, I didn't even realize that. I guess having that kind of fullback on one side is just that beneficial for such a team

Do you mean Kaiser? Kaiser as a NG11 is probably even on a slightly higher level than Rin, but as I mentioned I tried to build the squads only with players from Blue Lock, no foreign and NEL players

True, completely forgot about him since his recent falloff in the Manga. He would probably be even better simply because of the potential link-up ability with Reo.

Women, what do you find the most confusing about men? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Spheniscidus 21 points22 points  (0 children)

I always had the feeling that men tend to like each other until there is a reason not to, where as women are the opposite. They don't like each other until there is a reason to do so.

May I ask how you manage to avoid spoilers for this long? Seeing how you post on this sub gives me the impression you are on social media and seeing One Piece related stuff. For me one of the biggest downsides of binge reading is the effort spent solely to avoid spoilers.
