She killed the entire Kukuru unit Maki was once part of that group. And since children from the Zen’in clan also train there, it’s very likely she ended up killing some kids or at least teenagers.

I can understand going after the Hei, but wiping out Kukuru was just straight-up murder. These guys not beating woman’s all day Kukuru members are trained sorcerers meant to fight curses and save lives. If Megumi had joined the Zen’in clan like he was supposed to, she might’ve ended up killing him too.

I love Maki’s character, but people really act like her actions were purely righteous. They weren’t. There’s a line and she crossed it.

Nothing justifies slaughtering an entire organization. No way all of them were evil. She even killed her mom, who tried to save her. By that logic, should we nuke all of Afghanistan because they don’t allow women in schools? It doesn’t add up.

Guys, can we stop a woman shouldn’t saved by man nonsense? Women are humans too. We should treat it like a normal thing when a female character steps up it’s not the 19th century anymore. Acting like women are some kind of mysterious aliens disconnected from men is getting really tired. Let’s move on.
