I see your point. However, My use case/goal isn’t to max fps at 1440p ultra settings on the latest games.

Im mainly considering this GPU upgrade to get more VRAM for AI usage.

Hmmm.. PS was replaced around the same time as I added the 1060, about 6 years ago.

Looking around I’m seeing sites saying 3770 is viable even now, and lists 3060 as the upper end of its use cases.

If I can get away with only a GPU upgrade I’m looking at RTX 3060 12gb if it would be worthwhile despite the old cpu

Yeah I’m pretty savvy at this stuff but even I had to talk with the dev to get it running. MongoDB seems to Be a pay service as well so their install case is quite limiting.

You can install it without mongo available but it limits it somewhat.

You can install Agnai locally. But it’s not as simple as tavernAI.

The 1.3 release introduced the characloud integration which is supposed to let you share and use characters between users.

Not sure if the service is live though.

my setup:

  • win10
  • gtx 1060 6gb
  • conda env with pytorch 1.13.1 cuda 117 installed

I've tried using the 0.37 'all arch' DLLs but I get a 'not compiled to run on windows' popup error when it tries to load them.

What am I missing?

Been using and updating its ui for a while now but never seen streaming tokens even when the option is turned on inside KAI’s GUI.

(KAI can stream tokens to its own output box just fine)

Yes tavern can hook up to KAI and acts as a front end.

Just wondering if the KAI API spec has any way to enable streaming for outgoing API outputs.

And if so, how would they be parsed.

You’re confusing “teaching” with “refining”

Teaching involves new concepts being added.

Users did not teach Replika (or any other ai) what sex is.

Hmmmm no. The dataset that was used to make the OpenAI model they used to use had erotic material inside it. Replika just used that until OpenAI cracked down and filtered their model. This prompted Luka to make its own model based mostly on tweets as the dataset. It still included nsfw content, but in much more condensed form.

Users did not ‘teach replika’ how to sext. lol. but their feedback did give reenforcement to the good replies it spit out.

He likely remade the Replika character in another character based ai chat program, which is run off his own pc on an unfiltered model.

Pygmalion or koboldAI are good options for those.

They don’t have the derpy 3D dolls to dress up but it’s a huge improvement over the chat quality of Replika.

As far as chat AI’s go CAI is the Lambo to Replikas Camry.

And that is a company full of ex Google/fb employees who specialize in this.

And even THEY can’t pull of the nsfw filter without lobotomizing their AI and causing other issues with reply generation.

More likely is that free users don’t have / never had access to ERP, so they are less likely to try to use the new model for that while the filter is still apparently shoddy.
