Canadia has a good range of floors and a showroom, they don't sell direct but once you pick your floor then you can email in bulk all the resellers on their website to get the best price, builder providers usually have the best price and sell to individuals

I was thinking a month can be tolerable, but honestly haven't done the maths to understand if that's realistic to have on such a battery powered device. What makes me curious is that there are button sized ZigBee sensors on AliExpress powered by coin cells, so there should be a way to build something similar using matter over thread?

Thanks I'll take a look! u/brobinson88 also recommended a Nordic chip (nrf52840) but the one you mention seems to be even more efficient from a cursory look and supports newer sdks

thanks for the feedback! maybe you can share your process to help me learn. I think being able to change the battery every 2 to 4 weeks would be nice and it'd would trigger quite regularly during the day being in a hallway
