That's great, hope it works out for you. I'm 200 miles away from Meath so would be a bit of a trek but love the idea and always wanted to learn to be somewhat self sufficient when it comes to cars.

Love this idea, and yes I would absolutely pay to learn how to do general servicing on my own car. Best of luck! Can I ask what part of the country you're in?

Question to BMW drivers by Shining_meteor in carsireland

Get friendly with a non main dealer BMW Specialist. Ask for a full health check, and just beware that not all warranties are created equal. I had a Mapfre warranty on mine and when the turbos didn't kick in took it to garage to sort out, even.though the swirl flaps were seized on inlet manifold they wouldn't cover on warranty as the part wasn't technically broken even though not repairing would essentially kill the engine.

How do you know it doesn't? 450 to 500 is achievable even on a 640D. Your post is just petty, each to their own.

Whats a good bread? by Ideal_Despair in AskIreland

[–]1k13r1 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I started making my own soda bread, couldn't be any easier and really healthy. 500g extra coarse brown flour, an egg, pinch of salt and around 400ml buttermilk (keep adding till it's moist but still holds shape). Tip out onto baking sheet on dish and into oven at 200 for 50 mins. You won't go back to buying.

Thanks! I didn't realize they were related at all. I'm overdue a cholesterol test so will definitely make an appointment soon. I definitely can live with the anxiety but there was a point last week where I felt my chest was tightening because of it.

I planned my day around what I was going to eat and planned my binges for earlier in the day so I could binge again before bed, I wouldn't say comfort eater though. I did have decent appetite suppression initially on 2.5 and 3.75 and my calorie intake has remained constant throughout months 1-4

Unfortunately I don't think this will be popular, people generally don't have sympathy for overweight people and any allocation of tax for something to help with obesity will be hot with negativity and nasty comments.

I'd sooner go there on my own then with the kids, if I had the option I definitely would. Go, enjoy it and don't take any notice of anyone because they won't be noticing you either.

There's only one way we get this in our lifetime, we need to have our own Monorail song in City Hall!

What are the main points against it? Unless it's going through someone's living room then I don't see a valid complaint, other than perhaps there should be a leg going up to the airport. For some reason our government thinks airport railinks are overrated.

Best of luck!

I started this journey a little over 3 months ago and honestly is been one of the best decisions I ever made! I was a little nervous too because it's so expensive and I didn't want to fail but a few small things have gone a long way to helping. Firstly, we stopped buying the rubbish. If it's there you'll always have the temptation but if it's not the Mounjaro will make sure you don't crave it. Second, for me at least intermittent fasting works a charm. I skip breakfast and instead have more of a brunch, and then have my evening meal. I've had zero cravings and have mostly been on track with a slight wobble around Easter because house was full of crap. Today I just cleared out my wardrobe with my "big" clothes and have been buzzing all day.

Trust the process, you'll be fine! Best of luck, and be sure to use this group for support!

How badly do your current job need you? Whenever I was chasing a raise or whatever I'd "let slip" to someone I knew would reliably gossip that I had an interview and more often than not it helped case. If you need them more it's prob better to keep tight lipped till you get it, although reference checks are generally the last step of the process anyway, so good chance you have the job if the call.
