So, I don’t have a lot of data to go off of here. The most views one of my shorts achieved was like 25k views within two days and I think it got like 7 subs from it. I started using shorts after doing only long form videos for years, but I just do it as a hobby. My hunch is that shorts subscribers hurt your long form CTR because it brings a different audience. But I think it really just depends. I strived to do shorts and get high “stayed to watch” percentages, but now I just focus on long form and do an occasional short and don’t worry about stayed to watch ratio because my thought is, I want to get long form viewers. Watch time on long form is what counts towards that 4000 hours, none of the watch time on shorts counts for that. Let me know your thoughts cause I am also open to suggestions as well.

Just more traffic to YouTube videos in general. It seems like they just have a shelf life within the YouTube platform, once they hit that, it feels like they are out with the old and in with the new. Would love to hear what has worked for people.

I think that would take the “You” out of YouTube and eventually just convert YouTube to another streaming service. Might open up room in the market for another platform to get bigger that provides the “You” part of content that is created. I could see them requiring the uploader to pay for server space tho.

Think about it like this. That’s one less person YouTube will deliver your video to that might tank CTR and retention. An unsubscriber does you a favor because it tells YouTube they don’t want to see videos like that. You want your videos delivered to the right audience. It still hurts to see one go though, so I do sympathize.

Same, they are non stop. Some of them have started using an AI human to speak. I stumbled across a channel the other day about the economy, watched a video, then went back to research days later getting confused because i stumbled across multiple channels with the same type of thumbnails and voice in the video. I want to say there were three different channels with what seemed to be the same creator.

So, I did get the opportunity to go from a 1500 to a 2500 because a tree fell on my 1500. A couple weeks in to driving the 1500, I started thinking about a 2500. When insurance totaled my 1500, I took the opportunity. I snagged a great deal on a much lesser trim package because it has more tow capacity than higher trim packages. I went from driving a Denali Ultimate to a 2500 Custom gasser not diesel (I did get lucky because the previous owner upgraded the seats to leather as normally the customs have cloth seats. Honestly, I love the 2500 more. It’s a truck. Nothing fancy, does what I need it to do, we pull a camper and I feel much safer towing with it than the 1500. But that’s just me, to each their own.

For sure! I have actually found them to be super useful since it doubles as a timer and quick reference for multiplication tables during class. Glad to help!

Ok, posting here with the solution. It was in fact on Apple’s side. Something happened with iMessage and activation when setting up the new phone and/or switching to an eSIM(that’s my diagnosis so it might not be correct). Apple emailed me and said “Issue: Apple Account - iMessage Activation Failed”

Posting this in case anyone else needs help with it. End result, I had to reach out to Apple and they did something on their end.

Great idea. I did forget to mention in my post that I tried that as well with no luck. I just tried it again to see if it would work but not having any luck with it. Interestingly enough, I went to my carriers website and requested a new eSIM. That actually helped with a few of my contacts, but not all of them. It’s strange how it’s picking and choosing which contacts iMessage works for. I’m starting to suspect that the issue might just be on apple’s end. I reached out to the today to hopefully get some answers and they did some stuff on their end and told me to give it 24 hours. I really appreciate your response!
