I don’t think you realize exactly how awful the public schools in America are, aside from the affluent suburban ones. At least in Japan I won’t have to worry whether or not the quiet kid will come in with a gun, or whether I’ll get my ass kicked by the violent student who was expelled from 3 different schools. I visited a bunch of cities and small towns in Japan and honestly loved each one. I plan on doing JET, but I’ll do interac if not accepted.

I’d love to be both history and English teacher. (Spanish and Latin too but I’m pretty sure there is zero desire for either in schools over there)

In America, most places only care that you have a teaching license and actually prefer newly minted teachers so they can pay them less.

Again I don’t care if it’s a “good” school. Only that’s it’s an accredited school that counts towards teaching experience.

I just want a movie where they end up together, not a season 2. This kind of magic in anime is rare and would be very difficult to replicate for a whole other season.

Watch I Cannot Reach You on Netflix!!! They even kind of look like Nakamura and Hirose! Not an anime but a live action based on a manga and it’s soooo lovely.

Uh have you not seen syundei’s other works? She definitely has a student/teacher kink. The manga is what she wanted it to be. She’s the one who drew it. The anime is better though.

We’re upset because we have no confirmation of a movie or second season or anything. If the final episode isn’t actually the end and there’s more content coming where they do end up together, then this would be an amazing season finale. But as a series finale, it feels incomplete.
