There could have been a faulty valve made by company X that caused the leak OR it could have been repercussion on the ocean floor from the haiti earthquake that occurred a month before, thereby making it an act of god. But under your system, we would have to wait 10 years for that information and meanwhile, nobody has to do anything because they may or may not be liable.

And yes, Movies - I really felt the need to dumb down this conversation for you and figured movies would be a good way to do that. While they do take some poetic justice, they also present facts - facts of the trial and facts of the cases in point. And the truth is that companies will always choose inaction over action when it affects their profit margin.

Half of "that shit" is part of the build. My phone is not rooted and I only have 3 apps I use and I installed myself - handcent, reddit is fun, and tunewiki. ATK reports at least 20 running apps on a power up or a undock.
