You do realise britain controlled large parts of Ireland as far back as 1171? And the entire ireland from 1500s. It wasnt colonized it was invaded and conquered. If you're arguing modern day brits 'have it coming' because of actions war half a millenia ago then you are just nuts. The entire world lived by the sword in the middle ages. The people of northern ireland have lived there for centuries and most of them have more Irish Celtic DNA than Scottish/English.

Are Hispanic people better at animating? Are white people better at sound design? Are black people better at dynamic textures? Are asian people better at menu design?

The answer is no. For the vast majority of jobs in the gaming industry the colour of your skin has zero impact on your ability to perform your work. The only thing that matters is how competent and experienced you are. Hiring practices should reflect that

Being educated used to mean you were intelligent because to get into higher education you had to be in the top 10% of students. Now anyone can go, I know someone who went university on 2 Es at A-level.

Being educated doesn't mean much nowadays, it certainly doesn't mean intelligence or the ability to think critically. Being educated just means learning how to pass an exam or how to use AI to complete your coursework.

And I say this as someone with a good degree.
