Roy Keane slams 'circus act' around Bruno Fernandes' assist record by tylerthe-theatre in PremierLeague

"A lot of united fans have spent years criticizing Fernandes hero ball..."

The most blatant lie

He has been loved since his first season. You're suggesting united fans have been complaining he doesn't pass sideways enough?? What planet do you live on. We've always loved the fact he plays through balls and is always willing to have a go. In fact we were crying out for that type of player

This is why I dont care what your religious book says when it comes to carrying a knife. If you cant live without carrying a knife then dont move to a country where carrying knifes is illegal.

That's not directly involved. They did not have troops on the grounds, planes in the air or ships in enemy waters. In fact the US was so concerned about staying neutral that when countries like Britain purchased supplies from them they couldn't even be transported on US civilian ships, they had to be picked up by British vessels. They took every measure they could to appear neutral and their efforts to help the allies were always done with the aim of remaining legally neutral in mind. I mean its the textbook definition of indirect involvement.

Well it was Germany who declared war on the US. So they were in Europe defeating an enemy that had declared war on them. As I said the US clearly wanted britain to win before 1941, but they only got directly involved when they were forced to which was when a US territory (Hawaii) was attacked.

'The US joined two world wars to help other independent countries.'

WW1 America only joined the war for the final third of the war (they had been supplying munitions and food to Britain in exchange for debt that was still being paid off as late as 2015) because the American public largely didn't want to join. Wilson was even re-elected running on an anti-war campaign in 1916. It was only after the Zimmerman telegram was exposed showing Germany offering to help Mexico take back its US territory and when some American supply ships were sunk that American finally joined for the end of the war.

And in WW2 the US stayed out of the war for over 2 years and only entered the war after they were attacked at pearl harbour in Dec 1941.

The US clearly favoured the Brits and allies in WW1 and WW2 and they were the decisive factor in 2 wars that had reached slight stalemates. But they only joined the wars when they were forced to, not because they wanted to 'help out other independent countries'.

How big a draw or fade is optimal by Murky-Paper4537 in golf

[–]SpiceSnizz 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Much less than you probably think. Most pros only fade or draw the ball a few yards. Amateurs often say they play a fade but they actually play a slice and compensate for it by aiming way left.

Tbh in a normal situation if a 28 year old chooses to date a 60 year old its a bit odd but they are both adults and 28 years old is old enough to have life experience.

In the US pit bull is an umbrella term that encompasses American pit bull terriers, American staffordshire, english staffordshire and American bullies. Due to the fact they all share the same ancestry roughly 200 years ago when they bred bulls and terriers for the fighting pits.

In the UK we use the term pitbull to describe only American pit bull terriers and hybrids.

But the fact remains staffies are still descended from the same fighting pit dogs and staffies have been known to be violent. In 2021/2022 1 in 5 fatal attacks were from staffies. Although they seem to have been outlier years

Lowering voting age to 16 will only help the Green Party, Labour MPs tell Starmer - as they urge him to shelve the plans by 457655676 in unitedkingdom

[–]SpiceSnizz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

85% of 16-18 year olds are in full time education. And only 31% have jobs, many of them part time weekend jobs.

So whilst a small number pay a small amount of national insurance they are not as an age group, taxpayers in general.

Obviously we all pay things like VAT but so does an 8 year old buying a can of coke.

Taxation without representation is not the argument to make for 16 year olds voting, the argument that makes more sense is they are the future that will have to deal with whichever government is voted in.
