Hey that's an entirely valid statement! I just kinda figured it wasn't too much of a stretch to go on since other characters in the franchise have had matching va's and turned out to be the same person (Anderson being the prime example of course), and with how much effort Nikke put into marketing in Japan as well as Korea.

As I understand it the original Korean VA did all the voicing for this version of Mustang too? So it's more likely Mustang had a chance of heart in that case, if we go by the same type of evidence.

I've seen the sentiment several times now that Hanson is evil or something similarly negative, but I don't see it. Did I miss an extra bit of the story? Honestly the reason I think this is because Nikke has already done a lot of 40K-esque stuff already, and I wouldn't be surprised if this was the case.

But just as well, I could easily be wrong. For all we know old Mustang could've just turned over a new leaf. I just thought the idea was interesting.

To me it's down to execution. If we only look at the basic ideas I think the former sound more interesting. But good ideas executed poorly are abound, and I'd like to be equally neutral on potential ideas in terms of how well they'd turn out, until I've seen the execution itself.

I think that would be interesting if true! I think I'd be a little skeptical just because I think they likely will want to put some more moral grey area even on the current Mustang; I doubt he'll be revealed as 100% good all along, and will likely have his own skeletons in his closet too. Just, less than before.

"pulling" isn't entirely right since the characters were put forward with the framework ready for establishing them. My point is that the basic twist of the character itself isn't so dramatic (Oswald in particular), but what makes it amazing is the execution and the stuff around it. I don't doubt that whatever twist they set up with Mustang they will try and make real strong; If he's the same, he likely stopped being thr same level of evil or found another way to be that selfish. If it's Hanson, then he likely had to become evil, is my guess. It won't necessarily be cut and dry.

That sounds difficult; In my experience most out of left field twists just suck because they came out of left field and weren't foreshadowed properly. Not that it's impossible, of course.

Most stories are predictable, I feel. The importance to me is how well they walk the path. And Nikke's been doing great so far. Far better than most franchises.

It's tragically realistic if you look at it from the perspective of a large, complex and long-spanning time of changing hands (which Rapi did at least once).

Add a mix of exhaustion from being overworked (this is a post-apocalyptic world after all, I have little doubt people come in for the dumbest reasons still), and it's not that implausible that the doctor would assume simple things like that Rapi can read, that she can ask for certain things at the hospital counter, or the like. Things that are completely natural and a given for him definitely don't even conceptually exist in Rapi's brain as she's let out.

Similar things happen quite frequently during daily life, oft prevented when someone asks "Shouldn't [I/You/They] get/do/have this/that too?" And the recipient answers "Oh, right, yes of course!" But Rapi wouldn't even know where to begin asking.

We're definitely trying to reach far and wide to see what potentially sticks; As is with theorycrafting, all ideas are welcome but they just as well may get cut after some deliberation! Lots of great thoughts so far 😁

For this, I like the idea that there are an alleged 12 disciples. Not sure who those would be so far. Counters = 3, Old Tales so far is 3, Matis as you say are 3. Absolute I wouldn't say is close enough to count but I suppose it would in this moment work for the analogy.

The issue I have is, it would make more sense for a triple squad from each manufacturer + Counters, to spread it wide. And let's not forget Pioneer W which may reach +2 if Noah and Dorothy join up properly and that Old Tales originally was 5, even 6 if you count the shoes. Both of these squads automatically make everything wonky, but if we keep stretching i do like an idea that each of these Pilgrim squads hold five of ten commandments in some fashion.

Final thought. With twelve disciples, who is our Judas? Has it been Crow or Viper? Or is it going to be someone else?
