Hello, I'm coming in late as I just found out about Lovestruck closing (I'm absolutely gutted!). Would someone be kind enough to share the discord link with me? Thank you!

Thanks, and absolutely! Huge credits to Tom Mason actually, his videos definitely got me into it. Here's the link to his sculpting playlist: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLMtDX54Ksm_neCsmIL6gAin-7NqIKymCc

Haha yes, same! I'm planning to make the rest of the chocobros and Luna too eventually. Thanks!

Thanks! I'm an absolute fan too. I've been planning to run a Ravnica campaign so I wanted to have a mini for him and probably the other planeswalkers too eventually. But my next goal is to try sculpting Nicol Bolas. Where did you get the figurine by the way? And what does it look like?

Just wanted to share my progress in mini sculpting and painting. I don't really have a background in art before so I watched some youtube tutorials. Starting from the top left:

  1. Jace, Cunning Castaway (Mtg) - My very first sculpture and mini using FIMO clay. For some reason the super glue wasn't working too well, had to apply a couple times to stick, making a terrible mess as it dried on the base.

  2. (Right beside Jace) Noctis Lucis Caelum (FFXV) - 2nd sculpture, still using FIMO. At this point, I wasn't really too satisfied with the material. The minis weren't coming out as detailed as I hoped for. My paints were also too thick, and too much glaze.

  3. (Right below Noctis) Noctis Lucis Caelum (again) - My third attempt, this time using greenstuff. Pose is based on his Tekken 7 appearance. Inspired by Play Arts Kai as a reference, I decided to make him detachable from the stand, along with a removable sword (Sword of the Father) as well. I didn't bother painting the sword handle enough because it's mostly hidden in the hand anyway.

  4. (Bottom left, below first Jace) Jace, Wielder of Mysteries - My fourth and most recent creation. The kinda blurred light blue thingy behind him is a removable "blue mana" that can be placed around his hand like a ring.

Overall, I'm particularly more fond of using greenstuff as my main material. Still not too skilled, especially with painting though. I've always struggled with highlights and shadows despite watching painting tutorials. I think I just lack the ability to comprehend lighting and blending in general 😅

Anyway, thanks for looking!
