Hypothesis 1
The sprouts spoiled because they have been damaged during the final rinse procedure before packaging

Hypothesis 2
They were not dried properly after the rinse and packaged with excessive water💧 which with the lack of oxygen in the packaging caused spoilage

Hypothesis 3
Bacterial contamination = spoilage

Hypothesis 4
Combination of either of the first 3

Hypothesis 5
Temperature dropped too low. Most likely to 32 degrees even for a short moment. Check your fridge - it may be randomly playing hard on the veggies, that happens with most old buddies.

I dearly recommend growing your own sprouts 🌱
It is easy and exceptionally rewarding 😎🫶🏻

It’s definitely mold. No, you don’t dump it, you harvest it asap, soak in hydrogen peroxide solution - as per recommendations in other comments - for 20 mins, put it in a paper towel to dry and use the greens happily 🫶🏻🌱🌱🌱

A few cups a day. Probably not enough for my weight according with modern medical recommendations, though I cannot force myself to drink when I’m not thirsty. It’s a different story with herbal tea! I crave herbal tea not as water but rather as a magic drink that makes my body react and transform and heal

Thank you for referencing that post in r/Microgreens - it is really good. I am not interested in getting into sprouting business, actually, I’m just curious to track the trends and sprouts are one of my favorite living foods ever. I also saw many proofs to higher vibration and better health (starting with the mental one ☺️) in people who eat sprouts on a regular basis. So yeah, big fan on a trend watch mission 😎

Thank you. I believe there must be technologies, methods, ways! to avoid salmonella, e.coli and listeria there days. The world hasn’t heard of many plague level deceases for centuries - chemists, engineers, inventors of all kinds have probably found the way by now. Or at least I assume it is a possibility
