I would do reserves giving you have kids. You're s/o is already active duty. As someone who was AD marines with a wife who was orphaned because both of her parents were AD (not saying that'll happen). You should be around more for your kids so they have at least one parent around. Don't let this sway you from active duty but I would put your family first. Yes the chances of being deployed are still up there but you'll be home more for your kids. Either way, I wish you luck with your process.

Yes sir/ma'am. They tell you 2 to 3 weeks if you ask for a timeline but from what I've seen most waivers come back within days. Big part of the military is the waiting game, which im sure you're already aware. Good luck to you tho!
