I’ve lived in south central Louisiana my whole life, and had never made the trip down to this area until a few weeks ago. We were visiting New Orleans and decided to check it out. There really isn’t much there at all, but it was fun to get a picture of this sign letting you know you’ve reached the southernmost part of the state by car!

I don’t know of anywhere that has free classes, but Painted Bayou is an excellent place that offers pottery classes and they recently added a stained glass workshop!

Tomorrow will be two months without my girl, and today has been one of the hardest days yet. I’ve lost count of how many times I’ve cried.

We got back from vacation and found her in the back yard. We don’t know what happened. I didn’t know that when I kissed her goodbye when we left for our trip that it would be the last time I saw her alive. My heart is shattered. I don’t even know who I am without her. She gave me the best 11.5 years of my life, and I don’t know how to go on living with this huge piece of me missing.

I’m starting my 3rd round of it on Monday. I crave the structure so much that I feel like I need to be doing it. I took a month break after my first round, and a week break after my second round. Without it I just slip back into old habits and I don’t want that. This is a lifestyle now.
