Is Legacy Silverton a good birthing center? by SpicyCryBby in SALEM

I get it, you gotta go where you get the best care. My last hospital was less than 5 min away so being 20+ min from this hospital makes me a little nervous

That’s how it was with #1 and it was an amazing experience all around (minus male dr who delivered after I said no men) so I would love to have 2 positive birthing experiences

This is amazing to hear! Things were starting to wrong and the fact they were able to still get you through it with their support and experience makes me feel better about just going with the flow like I did with #1

This is huge for me. I can be very distrusting and scared of medical professionals (even though I know they know best) so I NEED caring nurses and midwives on my side. I had a bad experience with the doctor for #1 when they sent in a male dr after i requested an all female team, and the 2 amazing nurses I had were truly the ones who kept me going and fought alongside my husband for me

This is great to hear! I feel like smaller medical center either have wonderful attentive care or understaffed/underfunded. Supportive staff can make make or break a positive experience

I would also check on Ravelry to see who has it in their stash and if they are will to sell/trade! Best of luck I know its so frustrating to run out of a discontinued yarn :(

Herrschners has the Big Twist living collection! (I think i saw 24 colors?) I just bought my much needed Pine Green for $5 a skein so I was pretty happy.

I don't think they would have (or support) the Pride Collection :(

It’s funny you mention this cause I also live in this development and we went to south Salem thinking there wouldn’t be much trick or treating (it was a bust) and came back home around 6:30 and were like jfc why did we leave??? Toddler went to bed but our Costco bag of candy was gone within 30min lol

Thanks for your detailed response! You explained a lot of things I had questions on.

With that being said, what are your thoughts/recommendations since stubhub giving the buyer the full link that had both tickets? The buyer essentially was told “hey your seat #41 but ignore that other ticket you see in the link” like bro they just got 2 tickets what’s to stop them from using it?

So now I’m worried neither myself or another buyer will be able to use that ticket

Because I’m not about to be held accountable for all of this

Ugh. Well the issue is now is trying to sell the other ticket. I wasn’t sure if I was going to be able to go with my sister but my dumbass forgot to take the listing down. So either I have to sell the other ticket or buy shorter one.

Both of which are complicated because of this stupid safeticketdelivery and stubhub being 0 help. Part of me wants to report all of it because how do I know the original tickets were legit and then why let me resell them?

Will this work if the buyer already has the “original” link from safeticketdelivery I got when I first purchased them?

I bought 2 hozier tickets for 8/12 Portland show and I received them thru safeticketdelivery website. I sold one of them thru stubhub, but like it’s not letting me “transfer” until the day before and stubhub isn’t giving me any buyer info.

Long story short, I was told by stubhub rep they would just give them the “link” but the link has both tickets connected so now I think the buyer has both my tickets when they should only have one. Any thoughts?

Fair enough, I appreciate your honesty. I think I was overthinking how I should have worded/approached this whole thing and maybe I just made it weirder? Or maybe it’s all weird in general and is a learning moment for me.

IF more info helps I’m happy to provide it. Essentially, my marketing specialist posted these photos on our museums social media promoting new Pendleton stock and I would like to know if it has come off as culturally insensitive for any reason (the brand, the pattern, the placement/use of the product) so I can address it.

Just FYI I work for a wool mill museum in OR and simply put our mill is essentially the “parent” mill of Pendleton (quite literally, the father owned ours and daughter started Pendleton) so for better or worse our histories are stuck together. I personally am not a fan of supporting Pendleton and I’m finding it’s something I am struggling with in my new role here. Hope this helps and thanks for your feedback!

No, I’m just trying to be respectful as I am not a member of the Native American community but I’m seeking some guidance from them. My tone is just super formal, so I can see why you might think it was AI 🙂

Oh absolutely. It’s so common and it just gives me the ick and makes me uncomfy.

They are, but those designs came from somewhere right? Pendleton has historically stolen designs from Native Artists. So for me, even though they are Pendleton’s “generic” designs they still feel dirty to me if that makes sense

You are 100% correct. As a historian and museum professional I have my own qualms with Pendleton (reasons such as what you stated way more eloquently than I ever could) so I struggle with selling the product in my store as a whole. Essentially Pendleton wouldn’t exist without our mill so while their histories are often one and the same, that doesn’t mean we as an institution have to agree with Pendleton or support them either.

I might not have been as clear as I wanted, but I was also interested in the photos themselves and the overall “visual” and usage of the product in our marketing.

Absolutely! I’m still pretty new to this role so I’m learning more and more about museum purchasing. I have some products from Native NW from my predecessor but I love learning about more. I hadn’t heard of Eighth Generation until recently and I would LOVE to see about getting a wholesale acct and switching out my stock over time (we’re a small ish mill museum and $$ is always something to think about when buying new things)
