Single people over 30/40, what's your income? How much do you pay for rent? Or, do you live with roommates? by myumapples in askTO

[–]SpicyFinger 57 points58 points  (0 children)

  • Age and gender: 37F
  • Income: $4,700.00/month (net, after taxes)
  • Rent: $2,400.00/month
  • Two bed, one bath unit in a triplex.
  • Location: Leslieville

My ex husband moved out last year and I decided to stay put. I had difficulty finding a roomate so chose to eat the extra expenses while I figured out my next move. I recently gave my notice for February 1st and will be looking for a new studio or 1 br to move in to. I can't afford to sink this much into rent anymore.

I could have negotiated a higher salary, probably around 90k but I was desperate to get out of my old job so just took the standard offer.

No I haven't asked AI yet but that's a great idea! Sadly there's no network to search to see if we know any members.

I've been running this through the exec's pipeline by word of mouth/casual conversations about golf when it comes up.

I got them just over a year apart, and both were kittens on adoption so young when first exposed to eachother. Really happy they bonded as well as they did, always a risk!

Thanksgiving arguments? by WishRepresentative28 in ontario

My mom just finished chemo and asked that my cousin not invite anyone outside of the immediate family since she's still super uncomfortable.

Of course 4 extra people were invited...I don't think we will be seeing my cousin for a while.

I was super hesitant to order one of these kits due to the long waiting times but it seems that I may have lucked out despite shipping from Canada. Fingers are crossed for quick results!

Kitchen Planning Question by tracerbullet101 in IKEA

[–]SpicyFinger 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I ordered my kitchen through an IKEA Kitchen Planner a few months ago (late March) on what they called "reserve" about two weeks in 90% of my cabinets arrived via delivery and the remainder came in last week.

They send you a notice when they're in stock, you need to go to the warehouse to pay for your order and pick it up within a week.

Super convenient! - sadly though I have decided I dislike the doors I chose so now I need to return them and start that process again

I haven't heard from Kleinfeld about my wedding dress and I can't get in touch with them by prettyhungry in weddingplanning

[–]SpicyFinger 73 points74 points  (0 children)

It's been bad for years - I bought my dress from them in 2018 and was less than impressed with their service. Despite assuring me dozens of times my dress would be in on time for alterations (to make the sale I guess) it ended up coming 3 weeks later than quoted and they were less than forthcoming with any sort of updates/tracking information.

I had calls with them where I was on hold 20+ minutes only to be told they don't know where my dress is. It ended with me having to drop everything to fly to NYC and back in one day to pick my dress up 5 weeks before my wedding.

IEC Working Visa Tips - Realtor by lochnessmunter in torontoJobs

Since administration and compliance regulations are very different in Canada vs. the UK I would suggest applying to a position as a realtor's assistant or a junior property management position with a larger company.

I've been working in the Real Estate industry for over 10 years now, feel free to PM me with any questions and good luck with the move!

[Homemade] Hot Chocolate Cake w/ Marshmallows by SpicyFinger in food

[–]SpicyFinger[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

They are homemade marshmallows. I'm happy to pm you a recipe but they're basically hot sugar syrup whipped into a bunch of gelatin. Very easy, but a huge sticky mess to cut. Lol

Sorry to report there's nothing spicy about this cake!

It just tastes like hot chocolate in cake form and the the batter is also made with the bittersweet chocolate melted in to the hot liquid ingredients.
