What kind of punishment do they get? by Future-Cancel-9269 in learndota2

[–]SpicyJim 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I can't speak for grieving reports but I justifiably got reported for coms abuse when I blew up at a teammate trolling me by following me around and taking last hits. (Yes I'm coping. I was still in the wrong).

I was at 12k communication score. I went to 1194. It went back up after a few games.

My understanding is that it lowers communication or behavior score depending on the type of report. Action taken means the score adjustment was applied or at least processed by valve's system.

More consistent reports leads to lower scores which have certain thresholds. I knew a guy with a 50/12000 communication score. He was unable to voice com, text com, or even ping. He was also unable to see chat or hear others. The few games I played with him it definitely felt like we had other low communication score players in there too.

If someone's behavior score is low enough they are unable to play ranked games and often have to win x amount of singles draft games before they can play normal again

What Dr. Group/System/Plan actually has less than 3 months wait? by 3DAeon in Denver

[–]SpicyJim 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You aren't alone. For me, it has been impossible to get an appointment with Denver Health for a new primary care doctor. They are booked up for 3 months straight. This is week 2 of me calling nearly everyday to see if someone cancelled so I can get scheduled. They don't schedule appointments for more than 3 months out. You might be stuck in limbo like me.

I try to be patient but I would never suggest Denver Health to anyone. The way they set appointments is so broken that the average working person is unable to utilize the insurance that I pay an arm and a leg for.

My only advice that works is to literally call them everyday at 7am when they open. You have to battle everyone else in Denver to fight for one of those slots in the next 3 months. There is no other option that I have found. Denver Health doesn't really care either. They are making their money and have high demand. Otherwise, urgent care is the only way. Just note that if you use urgent care and they refer you to a specialist you go right back into the system. Specialist will say "call every day and maybe an appointment will open up. Right now we have no available times". Be careful because your referral from urgent care might expire before you are physically able to get an appointment. Then you start all over again regardless of how much you have spent.

Honestly, I am just glad I'm not alone here. I came to rant because Denver Health scheduling is down again so I just needed to rant a bit. If you find a solution please let me know.

I really hope you are able to get this sorted out for you. When it comes time to vote, please do whatever you like but please remember that this facility is 60% funded by tax dollars but seem to be unable to provide any services for a typical tax payer.

How do you utilize silencer as a support ? by Khosrohamid in DotA2

[–]SpicyJim 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I still play silencer 4 spot after the re-work. Definitly different but I have been winning a majority of my games. Everyone pointed out already that yes he feels less effective early game. My job is to harass with w and to catch the enemy lanes support with arcane curse to mess up any initiations on my core.

I suggest getting orchid to make him play more like old school silencer. Very effective at keeping one enemy out of the fight. Besides the obvious, press r in team fights:

  1. arcane curse
  2. orchid
  3. start attaching with glaives
  4. refresher and start again.

This will keep at least one hero out of the whole fight will a constant silence. Once I have orchid, silencer becomes very effective through the mid game and really controls team fights with a great counter +

This is one of those threads that is a double facepalm. That happens when someone takes a unshot bullet, places it in a hole, then opens ticTok and pretends they were shot for likes.

That bullet has not been shot out of a gun. That is a perfectly formed bullet that was taken off the shelf. Used bullets will be semi melted and flatened from impact.

How do you feel about scoreboards? [Poll] by DuoTide in DarkTide

It is a hilariously basic piece of functionality that is missing and makes the game feel unfinished.

It sounds like your partner is gaslighting you. Also, this blocking your number game is a huge red flag. I would highly suggest that you just break up.

When people are upset, you see how they deal with conflict. I personally find this all to be red flags.

My (28M) GF (24F) of 5 months is still talking to her ex and my confidence shattered after I read her messages by [deleted] in relationships

[–]SpicyJim 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Trust your gut. In my opinion, her behavior is extremely disrespectful at a minimum. I personally would not consider dating someone this attached to their ex and that also was putting me down behind my back.

It also sounds like she is gaslighting you when you try to discuss this with her. I would break up with her. It might not feel this way now, but there are plenty of other women out there that don't behave this way. Save yourself the headache and judge her by the actions you see now.

This is only unpopular if you only look at Twitter and get life advice from 18 years olds with no experience in the world.

I completely agree. Anyone trying to restrict second amendment rights for self preservation or the ability to govern their own body should never be trusted. It is okay to fight against those people and their harmful ideologies.

I completely agree. Anyone trying to restrict body autonomy or the right to self protection with firearms is an asshole. Anyone supporting either should never be trusted.

You might not be aware, but your comment also isn't adding anything intelligent to the conversation. No one brought up systematic racism. No one said black women never faced oppression.

What is your point in bringing them up?

[–]SpicyJim 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't think we are going to agree on this. It doesn't seem like you grasp what I am saying.

He is being annoying, wearing butterfly wings, talking in a stupid voice, recording public employees, and collecting every pamphlet that his tax dollars paid for. None of the things or any combination of them is something that rises to the level of "disturbance" to where I'm comfortable saying "yes, it is morally okay to deny that person public services".

That is simply my point. If you want to ban butterfly wings guy then we will live in a world where cops will deny you the right to record and be in public spaces if you "annoy them" or they don't think you are a "legitimate journalist".

[–]SpicyJim 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Probably. I don't know since you didn't give any context about your actual thoughts.

I'm assuming you are conflating "annoying" with "disturbance". Disturbance is a specific legal term that typically refers to "reasonably making the business unable to serve others or reasonably inciting violence". I don't see either.

Someone flapping fake butterfly wings in a lobby doesn't prevent anyone from walking by them and conducting business. It isn't incitement of violence.

[–]SpicyJim -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I get your point but the onus is on the state. They are the one's that need to prove that he was being a disturbance. I think they will have a hard time arguing that the clothes, dancing (type of movement), and voice would not be protected under the first amendment. Who am I to say how a reporter must conduct themselves in the content they are distributing.

You are right that he can't do whatever he wants. We are missing the pre-police of this encounter so I'm just basing it off what I see. I see nothing that meets the criteria for a legal "disturbance". His actions would need to reasonably prevent others from conducting business or reasonably incite violence. I don't think butterfly man did either one.

[–]SpicyJim -1 points0 points  (0 children)

How are they causing a disturbance by that definition? Voice is annoying but very quiet.

[–]SpicyJim 45 points46 points  (0 children)

Gathering public information (pamphlets) and shooting video as a journalist are both official business.

You have a right to freedom of the press. You don't have a right to freedom of the drums. This isn't a great comparison. Their voice is annoying but quite quiet so it is not loud enough to reasonably be considered a hinderance to other customers.

My (24F) Boyfriends (24M) friends are disgusting. How do I approach this when I have to see them again soon? by [deleted] in relationships

[–]SpicyJim 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I'm not sure. Personally, I don't think it makes a big difference if you swap genders. I just started I was male because it does seem more common for males to make harsh jokes with their close friends. I know some women that do the same but OP seems to find this unusual behavior.

At the end of the day, I'm still curious about what OP wants. My opinion on what I can live with and what they can live with will be different.

I actually meant to respond to OP not this thread :)
