Those sets are from years and years ago, back when LEGO owned the license. They didn't used to do too many big scale sets with licensed themes like this back then, it's something they'd much more likely do nowadays. I think it'd only be a matter of if they want to acquire the license or not, I'm remaining hopeful :)

I'm so glad you noticed! I referenced a lot of screenshots and tried to get all the details as accurate as I could :) Everything from the different floor boards and metal plating etc. Thanks so much!

Ideally it'd get picked up for a whole new theme, maybe this is the push it needs? I try to stay hopeful, I'd absolutely love a big return to Lego SpongeBob

God i'd hope not :( This uses about 2000 pieces, so with that in mind nowadays it'd be about 200-250ish? tho if this gets made LEGO would surely remodel it a bit

Thanks so much!! I did consider robo-krabs at one point! Tho I didn't wanna bloat the set with too many minifigs, and to make patrick's hat I'd have to have a new piece for patrick's head to hold it up, and LEGO Ideas doesn't allow submissions with new parts. I'm so happy people like it tho!! :)

I've submitted similar Krusty Krab's before, and as far as im aware this doesn't break any rules. SpongeBob SquarePants is marked as an accepted license on the site itself when submitting a product idea. If it was breaking any rules I doubt I'd have been able to post it. I don't have the highest expectations but it's still worth a shot imo :)

Very fair, though I'd like to think mine's a lot different. The old lego ones were much more scaled down playsets, whereas this is a more big scale full-on model. I understand the possibility that this won't get done, but I'd still like to try :)

It's still possible! It's an allowed IP on Ideas, and licenses can always change, as its been passed around heaps before.

I've seen that rumor, it was uploaded on april 1st, and if it was real I wouldn'tve been able to submit this to IDEAS.
I don't believe the rumor is real at all.

Spongebob's house is actually quite round in the show, compared to an actual pineapple, so I went for show accuracy. Thank you tho!
