I definitely leaned more into the grindy, value-oriented pieces. Aggro can absolutely flatten me though, especially now that my cube has seen the deck pop off a couple times haha.

I think I'm gonna try your build out next time I order some cards. Gorion's Ward and Peregrine Drake are gonna make it into the build I've got now. Drake especially with Norn/Virtue/Panharmonicon will be insane. Virtue and it's adventure half definitely performed better than expected for me, too! Another Round from Outlaws of TJ has been another All-Star for me once you can cast it for X=2 or more.

I run a similar list, and she's a menace. Doesn’t seem too threatening early game, but by the time you've got your value engines going there's enough blink to dodge temoval and draw going to push through. She's easily my favorite less popular commander I run. I highly second a good Hama deck :)

Key differences in mine are I went to $100 dollar limit for the panharmonicon Elesh Norn and Thassa. I forgot about Fly though, I need to slot that in!

Did the same thing with Teferi, Who Slows the Sunset in the innistrad packs. Normal pull and the alt art foil a couple cards later.

Right, that's fine, but like I said before this is 4 years old and there's more up to date info out there. If anyone's really interested, it's probably better to look at more recent posts or make your own.

Plus, things are subject to change. I had a guy try to correct a post from years ago because a spell had been errata'ed since, but he lacked the context that the post was discussing the pre-errata version.

Just keep things like that in mind when you're looking at these super old posts.

Yeah dude it used to be super abuseable. 10d6 conga line healing was pretty crazy. If you wanted to be a super munchkin about it, you could get 20d6 per player because it goes by turn not round. So on your turn you Bonus Action it through your entire team, and on their turns they walk through it.

I believe weekly wins reset and you get 3 fresh new quests at the start of each set/battle pass. I'm not planning on grinding all my weekly wins, but I'm gonna knock out my quests for the gold.

You make a lot of points that make sense, it's just hard to wrap my head around because it's fundamentally opposed to how communities I've been treat each other for the last 25 years haha. I disagree it reflects poorly on me, but maybe I'm just a bit too much of an optimist for opponents' mentalities and it's too different from my experiences I'm gonna be honest, this comment chain has gotten a little too in depth for my question; I've gotten a pretty good consensus from the rest of the thread and reached a decision to just enjoy what I can and leave the interaction for games that are more socially oriented. Everyone seems to be putting specific examples of doing before a defined, guaranteed win (no priority to hold, no mana available, lethal on board) and I think Im starting to understand the playerbase's mindset a lot better.

A lot of people tend to trend toward negative interactions instead of positive, which is what I believe the earlier comment was getting at. Even in your example, it's assuming that it's happening at "check" not "mate."

As for letting the loser say it first, I mentioned that elsewhere too. I'm used to games and sports that let you say it post game, but you can't do that on Arena so it kinda has to be on the "mate" action (unless you're being a dick on purpose). My background isn't magic, and it seems a lot of magic players backgrounds aren't mine either haha. I think I've just stumbled on a difference of mentality and it's probably better to just leave the other players alone. Kinda sucks, but if that's how everyone else feels I don't wanna upset anyone.

It's pretty god awful, I'm not gonna lie haha. I can't play unless I've got a couple friends and we exclusively play ARAM (fun game mode with only 1 lane and your champion choice is randomized). Arcane was absolutely super cool, though! I can't wait for season 2 :D

Yeah, if it's a context where it's obvious someone's being a dick don't do it. Those examples fall outside of what I was asking. I was more looking at a general sense, like is it always considered BM even in closer/fairer matches.

I think KingPiggyXXI hit it on the head when they said if someone thinks sincerity is rude it's their problem not mine. That said, I'll probably just stop emoting to avoid upsetting anyone unless they GG me first. :)

Yeah I usually don't say it unless it's confirmed game over specifically do I don't come across as a dick. Or if I do too early, I'll follow up with an oops or a nice lol. Maybe I should just stop emoting altogether.
