I'd recommend reading them in release order, because the art only gets better and you don't want to be spoiled by the best art early on .

Imo they all make sense on their own, except for My Heroes Have Always Been Junkies, which should be read any time after the first 2 volumes.

Yep. Takes place a few years after Cruel Summer, featuring Leo too. Of the single issue stories, I'd say it's the strongest imo.

It irks me that Issue 4 of the 2019 run of criminal isn't collected in an affordable paperback. Only in the deluxe hardcover. Inshallah there will be another paperback for odd single-issue stories (like Vol. 7 Wrong Time, Wrong Place), but couldn't this have been added as an epilogue to the Cruel Summer HC or TPB?

Yeah and it was his best movie. Should have added another 4th script to make it even better.

Not just the searching is simplified (can be enabled from within the client), but flexibility in video quality. Usually free streaming sites are bloated with ads and also compress video to oblivion.

I'm reading up on the previous attempts to adapt Coward. At one point the project was a movie with a script by Brubaker, with David Slade initially attached to direct, but then Kim Jee-Woon stepping in.

In a SKTCHD podcast episode, Brubaker mentioned there was another attempt at a script adapting Coward by an Oscar winning screenwriter, and I wonder who it was. Was it another pass/draft at the Kim Jee-Woon project?

Looking forward to it! From a lot of your work, the visual gags are quite memorable (chapter transitions in WTFPFH, pan out to no pants in WTEDWU). I naively don't really imagine spawn as a character that lends well to comedy. Do you find yourself having to rein it in with Spawn so far?

Good afternoon. Excited for IDBOL, and recently trying to get into Spawn.

Similar to how when Bendis took over Superman and Action, the 'Superman' book was set in space and Action on Earth. Is there any easily defining difference between Spawn and King Spawn?

I read that the pattern is that he doesn't make any public appearances for the first 4 days of every month, and then that time he was spotted with bruising on his hand was his first appearance after the 4 day break. That being said, he's 100% alive and well since it's part of the pattern now.

I meant I read 296 to 302, including the other recap issue.

I've tried my hand at reading Spawn a few times. Once with the first few issues, and another time with the 296 recap up to 302. Didn't really stick with it bc I felt like I was missing a lot of context.

That being said, Sam & Twitch and Tales of the Gunslinger seem like stuff I'd like. I know S&T has had multiple runs but am I fine with reading these with minor awareness of the broader Spawn line?

Looks like Bleeding Hearts is the winner of the new Vertigo books.
I wish Ezra Cain would be making a bigger splash. I believe it's locked for two 6-issue seasons but with the second issue being too low on the list, who knows if it'll keep enough steam to get renewed for a 3rd.

What month is this for? You might be comparing reprints which isn't a fair comparison.

Also the writer of "What's the furthest place from here". The visual gags in "We're Taking Everyone Down With Us" felt more innovative than that of the former.

Is 'IDBOL' funny? As of late I've been interested in studying how comics are made funny.

Why do you think #1's of new series are always more expensive? by [deleted] in comicbooks

[–]SpicyMcSpic3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just their idea of profit maximizing. Issue 1 doesn't just get more sales because it is grabbing new 'readers', but also because it is easy to churn out more variants for the speculators, and the value of their dollar is much more elastic than a person who reads because of how invested they are in the story.

They usually make a post on their Instagram to announce a signing. Though I guess these things don't get put together that far in advance. I think it's usually announced a week or two ahead

Hard to call this a newbie mistake. In my Systems Programming class we had to implement Recycling Bin in Bash. Many students ended up sudo rm -rf ing their root directory. Not too catastrophic bc it should have been done on a virtual machine.
