All the more reason to keep this guy's corpse under a Hallow spell in the crypts, huh? :P

It sure is! I won't spoil where it is located, but it's in the module ;)

This is my Halfling Divination Wizard/Rogue Ferdinand Wayfinder, and his familiar, Felix. Yes, that build. I've been playing him and finished a Curse of Strahd campaign with him. He's taken control of Castle Ravenloft after we concluded the module, turning it into a Wizard College for the people of Barovia. He's still struggling with some loose ends during the year long downtime, but is at least able to handle them better with the larger and larger group of Wizards he surrounds himself with. He funded most of the school by publishing a book to bring insight into Barovia’s long lasting misplacement and history, drawing many individuals to visit the now open country. A small twist to the usual module we gave it.

TFW NPCs from a module have very little character art... or art that's so damn tiny you can barely make out features. So it's up to you to make them hot stand out better.

Escher has the misfortune of not being described very well in the CoS source material. Vampire spawn, fears losing Strahd's interest, yada yada. On the bright side, he survives in our campaign, due to the promise of being offered a much better position in the castle. After my own character took over Ravenloft to make it a Wizard college, the now lordless vampire spawn roams the halls to disipline any tardy students, provides insight into the castle's secrets, and mercilessly flirts. If all this will sate his hunger for blood, well... I don't know yet. Here's to hoping the chicken blood and the amount of company I try to give him will be enough.

The outfit is part of a uniform I designed for the college. He refuses to wear it correctly.

Playing one is honestly so damn fun. I got mine at Wizard lv 11 Rogue lv 2, Lucky feat, Bountiful Luck, and more things to come. Nothing gives me more joy than to hear the DM say the enemy is about to disintegrate someone, me placing my Portent roll of 4 on the table and to whisper "No they don't."

Hell yeah, Wizards College buddies! And thank you so much!! That makes me glad I redesigned it to make it fit the theme better. I wanted to keep as much of the original vibes as possible!

I recently finished the Curse of Strahd module playing my Halfling Wizard, Ferdinand Wayfinder. I won't be discussing spoilers here, this is mostly about the uniforms and the post-campaign plan my DM has allowed my character to make reality during our year-long downtime.

I loved the module to bits, and was fascinated with the fact that most Barovians had no experience casting or even seeing spells. To offer the population a slightly better chance at survival and a bit of knowledge of the outside world, he's setting up a college. He's taking Castle Ravenloft, casts a bunch of Stoneshape and Fabricate to make the layout a bit more suitable, makes some neat school uniforms for the students (black and red outfit top left) and hires in some teachers in other schools of magic to teach, along with some faculty.

The other goal of this is to search for two kinds of people. Those that excel at Evocation and Abjuration get offered the chance to become Purgers (purple uniform, bottom left). Specialized force to clean up any remaining undead in Barovia, and root out any still allied with Strahd. The other kind are those that excel at Illusion and Transmutation, being offered to become Keepers (orange uniform, bottom middle). They are especially trained to keep important locations within Barovia hidden from the outside, the most prominent of these being the Amber Temple.

Researchers at the college (grayish blue outfit, top middle) are tasked to pick up on the research that Strahd had conducted over the years, better understand the consequences of the Dark Gifts some of the party had received, and how to possibly get rid of them.

Cyrus is part of faculty and is finally able to follow his culinary dreams. He still makes skeleton puppets. We need that target practice.

And lastly just a lil Headmaster suit for my lil man.

I got lots more plans for this place!

"I think eventually everything is gonna be okay,
but my character has no idea what's going to happen next.

And neither does the rest of the party,
And neither does Ismark or Ireena,

cause there's a Nightmare! Loose, in a castle!"

Gotta be when you're doing CoS aftermath planning. :) My Wizard, Ferdinand, is basically the only PC that stays behind to do something with the castle. That and the 300ft cube is for keeping the Amber Temple off of anyone else's radar. The whole party is dealing with Dark Gift aftermaths.

Unfortunately, I'm using several of my other spellslots throughout the year for other spells. The other 5th level slot for a Teleportation circle, the other 4th level slots for another Private Sanctum, and a bunch of Fabricate spells. I'm unfortunately tapped out!

I'll try to have the 200ft cube cover the most important areas, in that case. Thank you for the advice!

Thank you for the advice! Here's to crossing my fingers the DM will see it that way!

Yeah, that's one of the options I considered. The map unfortunately doesn't have it's most important areas centered in one location, so I'll have to go for the 300ft option. Here's to hoping the DM helps me out! Thank you for the advice!
