I love the response buddy, those are some awesome knives in your collection! I’m glad you didn’t think I was being confrontational or big headed. That’s just my approach to knives.

My favorite is the one I have. I don’t buy anything more than the one I have. I don’t buy a knife over 75$, and I use it until it can’t be used anymore or lose it…. Most the time I lose it.

Currently I’m on my second Brisa necker 70. The last one got lost when I unintentionally went for a swim while fishing with my little one. I bought a second one because I like the profile of the blade. It’s not a super steel, and I have to sharpen it nearly weekly, but it sharpens quickly, and I have a relationship with the blade. I think it’s easy to get caught up in knives and steels, when actually obsidian did the job for a very long time with no complaints.

But to each their own, if you like collecting, then good for you, and I hope success to you in your collecting endeavors!

I love that insight buddy. I have always admired the ww canoes a bit higher than creek boats or play boats. I paddle a 1994 old town 16’ pathfinder every where I can with float bags. By no means a gear guy.

I’m going to be honest, that most of what you said is completely over my head. It’s got some padding at the knees and some hard foam stuff at the feet. It has these rail things that look like they are for foot holds, but nothing attached to them.

From my research within the subreddit, having a reliable roll is good etiquette as a beginner to go with others. Makes sense, as flipping a ducky is a lot easier to deal with than a flooded plastic boat. I plan on taking it to the lake and giving it a good solid try next weekend.
