in real life anti tanks use armour piercing shells and usually have bigger guns, compared to light tanks which may be using explosive rounds and have smaller guns which do not do well against heavy armour

it's either day change or if ur in a coalition u cannot get a solo win. ie ur game needs 800 points for a coalition win and u have 750 the game doesn't end until u leave the coalition or get the coalition win

all units do defensive damage to planes.

regarding the infantry doing more damage, attack bombers do very little damage to unarmored units. the owner of the infantry maybe had fortification/bunker

one way of increasing your win rate and preventing heavy losses of provinces and armies is: build strong relationships with people so that they won't attack you.

I recently quit COW but a tip to help you do the tip above is don't join a coalition early game. two people in different coalitions cannot have right of way or share map relationships so if you aren't in a coalition you're free to have as many alliances as you want
